Stimulus checks losing money...

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but a friend today mentioned that he and his wife found out that the stimulus checks are running out of money. They were suppose to get 600 each and now they are only able to get just 600..All the people that have already got them are lucky and the others waiting will be left not getting what was promised. Have you got yours? or are you waiting?

We have gotten ours. Last time we got $600 each? And extra for having 2 sons in college. This time we still have 2 sons in college, but they only gave us half of what we got last time..$300 for my hubby/and the same for me. They are finding more loopholes , so that we can no longer get our $600 each. And nothing now for our sons. So this time, unstead of spending the cash on buying and "stimulating" the economy, we are paying own past debt and they get nothing! If they want us to be able to buy something, they'll have to brong down gas prices and gibe us the money for our kids and the $600 each they did before. At this rate, we will not be buying anything.

I thought something was wrong with this. I am a single parent filing head of household, and because my eldest daughter turned 18 in February, they wouldn't give me the $300 for her. Then I thought they would give me $600 for being Head of Household and $300 for each child. I ended up getting $600, $300 each for me and my youngest daughter. She got a cute purse and wallet with it.

I haven't gotten mine yet but I'm not surprised at this. Oh well, that will be all the less I'll have to pay back to them next year now won't it? It's not free money anyway. It is forced borrowing is what it is.

i would like to think i'm wrong but i've heard this from a lot of people so I don't think so. I've heard that it is deducted from next years tax return which makes sense because they are only issuing them to those that filed for returns. those that paid in are not getting checks. I personally think the whole thing is ridiculous....i don't see how it will help the economy in the long run....i do hope i am wrong on this.

I haven't gotton mine and my husband's yet and I really need it. It better be just a rumor because I'd be very mad. My husband deployed over seas because of us needing the money and not being able to do it here. Let's hope they won't do this to one of their soldiers. We are of course suppose to get $12,000... however any free money would be nice. Oh why didn't I do direct deposit... Where is everyone checking to see when they are getting this stimulus check???

I hadn't heard that was the reason. I do know we were only expecting $600 for the two of us all along. It had to do with the way the taxes were done, you know, joint, single, blah, blah, blah. The accountant didn't mention an issue with lack of funding. And no, we haven't recieved ours yet but those whom get it electronically deposited are supposed to get theirs first anyhow. We will just have to wait and see.

Actually, if you had direct deposit, you were in the first pool of people to receive. We owed money, therefore we are supposed to receive a paper check. I was counting on $1200.00. But I guess with all the red tape and lies for the HEADS OF STATE, it will probably be less. At first they said singles would receive $600.00, my son who is single only received $300.00. so I guess mine will be less than the $1200.00, we were made to believe we would receive.

I did get mine and it was the amount promised, but my son and his wife only got half of what they were supposed to get.. That is ridiculous if the government officials are saying they are running out of money for these checks.. Keep some of it in the USA and we will have more than enough.. Or better yet, learn to spend it wisely..
