Why do cats like walking over a wet floor?

Today I decided to mop my kitchen floor. And, it was just about done and looked perfect! That's when my big cat went strolling over top of the wet and very clean floor. He left a path of dirty paw prints behind him.
Anyway. I've alway wondered why cats do crazy stuff like that. He doesn't even like to be bathed. He would get nowhere near a pool or bath tub. So, why in the world would he want to walk over something so obviously wet?
What's up with that? Does your cat do crazy things, too? And, I'm talking weird unexplainable type things. Things that just don't make any sense? Please share your cat's crazy moments, antics and moods.

Why do cats do crazy things? Because they can!
I had a cat that I bathed, since his hair was so long. He got used to being bathed as a kitten, and wouldn't jump out as long as I had one hand just touching him.
He always liked to sit on the edge of the tub when I was soaking, though, and one day he surprised me by jumping in! I think he was pouncing on the light reflecting on the water. He just calmly swam around behind me and got out of the tub. Then he sat at the other end of the room, scowling at me like it was my fault!

I had no idea that cats like water
so much!
My big cat does come into the bathroom
while I'm taking a tub bath and put
his hands up onto the side of the tub!
He is so funny.
A real fraidy-cat cause he'd never get in.
He just wonders how I manage to survive
in so much water.

I never noticed that. When we were in the province and we have cats and dogs but we dont treat them as special. They have their own place to stay and they dont sleep with us. I hate the smell of cats popoo. They dont really take a bath thats what I noticed. Now, we dont have cats and dogs here in the city, we dont have big grounds for them to stay.

One time I was painting a desk and one of my cats decided to jump on it and run across the top of it!

He doesn't realize it is wet. It doesn't bother him. If they want to get somewhere they just go. Doesn't matter if it is wet or not. I have only had one cat, in fifty years, that was the least bit timid about walking in snow or any kind of damp or cold material.
