Does anyone pay full price any more?

I go to the store and just can't bring myself to pay full price for anything. With the price of everything going up, I'm tempted to wait a few weeks to see if things go on sale. Am I the only one out there who only looks at the sale racks when they go to a store? I feel like the salespeople are looking at me and thinking how cheap I must be.

I too look for things on sale. If it is something I need immediately and cannot find it on sale then I will pay the price but if I can wait a while for it I will wait and hope for a sale. With prices the way they are now it only makes sense to look for the best deal you can find on any item.

I agree. But I've found that I really don't need things immediately. At least not like I used to.

I hardly every buy anything full priced anymore. I think the only things I pay full price for are some of my everyday items. And, those I shop around for the best price. But, when I go to a department store, I always look for sales. I also get a lot of coupons and gift cards for participating in various reward programs. Without those, I would probably never have any new clothes or many other things.

I can't remember the last time I bought myself new clothes. Whenever I head to the mall, it's usually for a gift or my kids need new clothes. Even then, off to the sale racks I go.

i have four children and i am a single mom, i dont care if the sales person is looking at me and thinking that all i can buy are the cheap ones. they dont know what is happening in our lives and they dont need to be nosy about it. just feel free on doing what you want, you have all the right to do what you want to do as long as you will not break the law

I barely EVER buy anything full price unless I am at the grocery store. I am one of those shoppers that head straight for clearance racks when shopping for clothes and shoes. I can honestly say that the last time I bought a pair of dress shoes full price was an emergency situation and I had to get the shoes that day- so I splurged...but I usually get my shoes for $20.00 and under- if you have the patience- you can find really good deals just about anywhere. Another place I love to find the clearance isles in is Walmart - I got a queen size quilt for my bed there on clearance for $20.00- which is unheard of for a good quality quilt.

Love Walmart clearance. I also love Target clearance. I was just telling a girlfriend that i have never spent more than $20 for a purse. I think I may have spent more on shoes when I worked...but not much more.

i always look at the sales racks. you never know what kind of deals your going to find. and for me if its not on sale and i need it i will pay full price for it. necessity decides how i spend my money. but when im grocery shopping i do try to find deals and coupons and discount cards to get more for my money.

I wish I could bring myself to pay full price for things. Even about 90% of my groceries are generic.

i really love sales, there's nothing wrong with them. People flock to the mall whenever there are sales. i also look for great bargains online, it's fun looking for great things with amazing prizes. =D

I think it is a good idea to look for sales, and when ever me,my mom,and my fiance go to Food Lion we always look for stuff on MVP special because that help saves money, but if you need something important I think you should go ahead and buy it.

I'm pretty sure that the judegemental glance of a salesperson doesn't matter. Once I found a really great sweater on a sale rack but it hadn't been marked down. As I said it was really great and it wasn't busy so I gathered up all my pluck to ask if she could find out if the sweater really was on sale or had just been hung in the wrong rack. She checked for me and told me the price and apparantly I was so surprised and amazed that I happily said "Oh in that case I'll have it!" The lady chuckled and muttered under her breath ...."oh now she'll have it" But I don't care about that. I got what I wanted and it was a bargain too.
