Having Problems With The Network Again ...

Hello All mylotters,
How are you coping so far in mylot? I apologize if I have been very late in response. The servers in my workplace are down for most times, and it is frustrating to be working with an off-line network. I've been updating my papers with no mylotting and that is so BORING...Grrrr. I miss mylot terribly, and I can only get on and off each time, since the server lag has been really, really bad on my end.
It doesn't help that my connection at home seems pretty bad too, and I tend to spend my time sleeping to catch up on exhausted working hours. Please be patient, my friends, I will surely try my best to help the IT guys at work to revive the network. I think there's a bug going on or something and it doesn't help that AVG Free Edition is coming to an end. Are there any solutions to this..?

Hey zed. Don't worry. I can understand that because I am in the same situation. I have not idea what's wrong because I am not an expert of IT. The network here is really bad. Last night we couldn't connect the Internet at all. Thus I end up with watching movies all night. Worse still that movie was really not that attractive. It just becomes worse from time to time. I can do nothing but complaining it to the telecommunication company. It sucks.

Hi Zed, I do experience sluggish myLot access in my area lately while other sites are just fine. There are certain time of the day that I have notice this to occur too. I could only attribute this to local myLot traffic as other user do not encounter this. I was suspecting this was the cause of missing some pop3 mail notification but i think every one is suffering from this. So you see, your not alone.)
Regarding the free AVG edition, that may come but but as far as I know not yet near. I am wondering do you have an inside source?

Hi, Zed, no need to apologise we all have to spend time away from myLot sometimes but I know how frustrating it can be when then are computer problems. I haven't any answers there but suggest you rest as much as you can and one refreshed maybe your computer will be too and speed up, prehaps its picking up on your energy levels and is on go slow LOL. Ellie :D

Yeah, mylot is a really awesome site to connect with certain friends. I never had any problems with network at all, in my view. Well, it is boring around here. So I do go online to check my email before moving on. Sometimes my servers are frozen. So I should restart my system over again. And I am always really patient at all costs.

Hello Jake...like for me, my network at work are down most of the time nowadays and it makes mylotting especially difficult. I should see it revive soon, but I'm none too sure. I hate to see that 'error message' the whole time.

Modern technology is a wonderful thing, until it goes wrong. Then it tends to go wrong in style I guess. So far I have been fairly lucky with my connection

I have had computer problems in the past week also and my server was down and not working right either. I thought something was wrong with my computer and I was trying everything to fix the problem. I don't think it was on my end though. I tried everything and then all of a sudden, it was fixed and working right again. I hope yours works again soon also.

Hi zed_k4! So that is why you are not being around lately. Oh dear, it is a blessing in disguise. Now at least you can have some enough rest and recharge your body. Take the time to enjoy the real world around you while you can't be here. But, know that you are missed here too.

Well, I dont know if your around zed since this discussion was posted 3 months ago but I hope things get straighted out for you and come back to my lot. Your friends miss you and would like to see you back. I sometimes have trouble with my computer connection too and it really bothers me. I'm glad you are thinking of mylotting.

Hey zed, I wondered where your smiling face had wondered off to! Thanks for the update. You do what you have to do bud, and we'll all be here waiting for you.
I'm just glad to know you are ok.
As for the Free AVG thing - haven't a clue. I recently bought a year of RegCleaner and it seems to be working better for me than AVG did anyway and it wasn't expensive. I paid for it out of my mylot earnings! LOL

Sorry to hear that. Yesterday I was in the library and I couldn't access to my friendster account. It was a bit disappointing. It feels like having a bad network as well. What's the point of having a stable internet connection if you can't access your favorite site?
Anyway, it's good mylot site was not denied access.
Well, hope your network has got fixed by now.

I know what you mean. Some days it is so slow in mylot, that I get frustrated and go do something else for awhile, hoping it will speed up when I come back later. It seems to me that mylot is just getting too big and their server can't handle all the people posting. So I don't know that it is your computer that is slow, as I think it is slow for everybody. It seems to be a little bit better, these days, as this discussion is 3 months old, so I am trying harder now but it still has it's slow days when it takes forever to post a response or discussion. Just keep plugging in there as it can only get better, I hope. See you later, my friend.

Hi there Zed, I know the feeling as we have quite a lot of problems here too. It doesn't help matters though when we go awy for a week - I'm addicted to mylot and it felt like I was being torn apart not being able to get online.
This feeling is only going to get worse as i will be away for two weeks and the email notifications that I have are already over 400.... so I will be really, really late in answering other peoples discussions!
