I was changing the Bedding today as I do every Saturday and while I was putting the Quilt Cover on the Duvet I remembered something that made me smile but also brought tears to my eyes, I have been going through a few Memories these last few Days and don't know why
About 5 years ago my Son decided to start changing his own bedding as it was getting hard for me to do because of my Breathing, it takes me nearly 2 hours to change the Bedding, the reason I have to come away and sit down for a while to get my breathing back to normal, so anyway I explained to him how to do it, he was up there 30 minutes and I thought well it is his first time of changing the bedding, next thing he shouted "Mum, Mum get up here please, I need your Help. He sounded a bit strange so I nearly ran up the Stairs (wrong Choice lol) and walked into his room. At first I could not see him, about to shout when I noticed what he had done, I just burst out laughing, I could not help it. My Son said "Ok Mum joke over, not funny get me out of here" I do not know how he did it but instead of the Duvet Cover being over the Duvet it was over my son, who on top of that had managed to get himself tangled up so much he could not get out. I got him out of it still laughing, his face was quite read lol from trying to get out and he says "How do you put this stupid Cover on without ending up in it yourself" and started to laugh
I showed him and after that he managed to always get the Cover on the Duvet and not himself

Hi Gabs, Thank made me smile too. I know the battles I have sometimes getting the duvet cover on so I can imagine how funny it was to see your son in it instead of the duvet. At least he knows how to now though eh! Thanks for sharing this moment. Ellie :D

LOL - I remember the first time I tried to put a quilt cover on, they are hard things to manage so I quite understand what your son went through! It is very easy to get tangled up into it. But once you have the knack of it life becomes so much easier!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful memory with us Gabs.

Now that is a first for me, I have never heard of anyone getting tangled in bedding like that. How the heck did he manage that I wonder.

What a wonderful memory, sometimes I won't be thinking of my children at all, and out of no where something from their childhood will come flooding back. Sometimes it is funny, sometimes sad, but it is always a reminder to me of how fast they grow up. Thanks for sharing this precious memory with the rest of us.

What a lovely story Gabs. I'll bet he's an expert now though! LOL
My dog makes my bed. That way, the covers and sheets are already in a pile for me to just drop into and saves me the trouble of tossing and turning and messing them up myself! LOL

LOL - yep! Mine thinks it's a great joke and if I won't sleep in it, she will. Now though, that I've gone back to my big bed she's going to have to change her ways! LOL

hi gabs I am still giggling as I see your son
wrestling with that duvet cover and getting'
more and more frustrated as he gets all
tangled up in it. Guys can be so inept sometimes
at things we just do and take forgranted that
they can do it easily too. I bet he did laugh
once you got him untangled and showed him
how to do it . I sense he has your same sense
of humor too. Where was Gissi while this was
goingon? Bet he had a few things to say too.lol2 people like this

hi, gabs :D That was so sweet and funny story. You're very lucky to have him, he is so very sweet and thoughtful to help you, not all kids are understanding and thoughtful. :D Just imagining your kid situation make me laugh also, lol. Yeah, really, how did he do it? XD But at least he tried his best on his first try and a fast learner too. :D Thanks for sharing this sweet memory to us, I really enjoyed reading it. :D

Going through memories is a lot of fun sometimes. We love our sons, and men in our life, and we get such amusement when they are inept. Long as they do not start swearing at us.

HAHAHAHA! Great one. This is 2 so far I have seen from you. You're on a roll or what? Thanks for sharing it was funny and cute. I have laid the couch cover out then shook it to set it correctly on the couch only to find my beagle Buster was under it. I have no idea how I did not see him prior to the shaking action. Guess I was too involved?
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Oh my, that was funny gabs! But I'm wondering how on earth he got himself tangled up in the duvet cover! He's a male - need I say more?
I hope you gave him explicit instructions afterwards on how to get the duvet on without wrapping himself in it!

LOL! It must have been a scene, Gabs, and If I were in that situation I wouldn't be able to hold my laughter either. Doing such things for the first time often end up funny, at least as far as myself is concerned. But, my wife was there to help me AFTER she was done laughing already. I go throw these memories everyday as I remember my family either doing things that I do now or seeing me do and laugh!:-)
