Have you ever got unsolicited phone calls in the early morning?

Yes, I have ever got such phone calls. It rang around 3 O'clock in the morning. As a result, I woke up and it had disturbed my sleep. Some advertisers are very rude nowdays. Why couldn't they wait until the daylight hours come up? Sometimes, they always ring around 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. If they want to introduce a certain product or service, why don't they send it by mail instead of ringing the phone? It is more effective, isn't it?

I don't understand why any business would phone up at that time of the morning. It does not make sense to call when people are normally asleep. What would they gain from it except a lot of abuse from people upset at being woken up! I don't like any phone calls which try to sell me something. My time is too important to waste listening to their sales talk, and I tell them politely I am not interested and put down the phone before they really get started.

I don't undertand it, either. But I do know that some companies are using outsourcing telemarketers. Thus, they might not know exactly what time it was.

I think you are right, some of those companies will be calling from another part of the world and may have made a mistake in the timing of the call.

Yes. I used to get them all of the time but I got on the do not call list and the solicitors do not call me now for anything. I am so glad too because they would call all hours of the day and night and they would call most of the time as you sit down to eat. I may get a call once per month from a solicitor but not very often now. I let my answering machine pick up anyway so I can see who it is before answering. I don't want them to call me or mail me.

I hate any phone call which try to sell someting no matter when it calls. But I never get such phone call rang at the sleeping time. If that happened once, I will off my phone when I sleep, for I will not let anyone to interupt my sleep. I don't think sending by mail is a good idea. Because for me,I will think it is a rubbish email and delete it whithout checking.

I have caller ID and simply do not answer any calls if the number is "unknown". In my opinion anybody who needs to "hide" their phone number has more to hide than just their number. If somebody with a hidden number really needs to contact me then they can email me and if I think it's necessary I'll give them a call. What really bugs me about some of these calls is that they only let it ring two or three times. By the time I get to the phone the ringing has stopped. This has been going on for almost a year now and I'm getting really annoyed by it.
