Do you like artichokes?

Artichokes are one of my favorite vegetables. I usually just microwave them and then eat them plain with a tiny bit of margarine and salt. Sometimes I just eat them plain.
I don't dip each leaf in butter or mayonaisse the way I was taught to by my parents because I actually like the flavor of the artichoke and don't need anything to help me eat it.
I like them more than my grown daughter does but she eats them too. I've added a picture along with this discussion so you can see what a couple of artichokes look like once they've been eaten! Nothing but in-edible junk left!

I dont like canned ones but I love fresh artichokes. We raise Jerusalem artichkokes. I like them better than the other kinds

I love artichokes too they are one of my very favourite meals. I usually boil them and then I dip it into melted butter. never really liked them in mayonnaise that much for some reason. They are a bit messy to eat though just like your picture shows!

I also like fresh artichokes. My step-grandmother was Sicilian and used to make great stuffed artichokes. Recently, though, I think I might be allergic to them. The last two times I had them, I got a little asthma and had other signs of having an allergic reaction. I am allergic to the pollen of the thistle plant, but that shouldn't affect me after everything is cooked, especially since I boil them. Also, the center of the choke, which is the center of the bud, is usually removed.

I adore artichokes! I eat them by dipping each leaf into melted butter, so yummy! My sisters all dip their into ranch. lol

The only way I've tried Artichokes, are those marinated ones you get in the jar "yummm" ,not sure exactly what the marinade's called but its really nice, must try some other ways though 8)
