If someone gave you a gift

i think it depends on the person that gave it to you.. if it was a relative or a good friend i would keep it for a little while then either give away or ebay (i know im horrible) if its from some one that you wouldnt be interacting with very much then get rid of it as soon as you want.. i know with relatives i have kept gifts that they gave me for the house and put them out when i know they will be stopping by for like 1 or 2nd time.. same with a friend.. if you are a person that is ok with lying then tell them later on how you enjoyed the gift by using it or got compliments on it etc.. as far as getting rid of things i always ask friends or family if they would like it (obviously not the same people that gave it to you lol) and if they dont want it i would ebay or put it in a garage sale if i have the time.. if i dont i just give it to a thrift store..

I prefer just give it away without re-wrap it. Because I'm lazy to wrap things and I really bad at it!!! :(

If someone gives me a gift that I really do not like, I usually go ahead and thank them for it and keep it for a while to see if I have some use for it. If I do not find it useful to me, then I may give it away and sometimes I have wrapped something and gave it to someone else as a gift if I know that they will like it for sure.

Not normally. Well let's say it's not really a habit I got into. However once I did get invited to somebody's birthday quite unexpectedly and didn't have time to get them a gift. I had a brand new book and wrapped that. As it turned out she loved that particular writer. Luckily she didn't have that particular title either.

Let me tell you a story : When I was working in Madagascar, my friend told me that when he got married, he received gifts that occupied whole of his store room. some are similar like albums, table sets...So, when his friends getting married he chose a suitable one rewrapped and sent to his friend. Sometimes, the same gift came to him again ! Happy posting.

haha..if i get something that i dont like from someone i'd give it away..wouldnt want to keep it..unless it's from a special someone then i might consider though. chances are i'd probably keep it for a while and then eventually will give it away hehe

i just keep it and when the friend who give me the gift come to my home i will show him/her the gift ! I think it is deference for the friend !

i don't throw or give away gifts that i received. i just keep it if i can't use it. i value all the gifts i receive whatever it is, small or big, ugly or beautiful, expensive or not.

I am very thankful and really appreciate and keep it even if I don't like the gift. For me, it would really ill mannered to complained and rewrapped it and give it to someone else. Well, there are instances that I would be very disappointed to the gift I received, but instead I wallow to my disappointment I just find another interesting and cute aspect of the gift like the way it was wrapped. XD Doing that way, it helps me to really appreciate the gift. :D

If I get a gift that I don't like or can't use I re-gift it.

I will just keep it. It's a gift to me, so i think its not good if i'll give it to someone else. That's my opinion.
