When was the last time you told your best friend what they mean to you?

I guess that is something I just take for granted. I figure that my best friend knows how much she means to me. About 2 yrs ago she went to a retreat and they had all her friends and family write her letters. So I guess that is the last time I told her what she means to me.

Aside from my husband I only have one person in my life whom I consider to be a close friend. She feels the same about me. We've been friends for over 30 years and tell each other often, by email, cards in regular mail or in conversations over the phone, how special our friendship is and how important each of us is to the other. Not a day goes by that I don't appreciate her unconditional support and caring.

Whenever I talk to my best friend I tell her love ya. and from time to time I tell her she's like my sister. And she does the same. Though I admit I am guilty of not calling her as often as I should, but she is married and it's hard sometimes.

Oh, its being awhile. I guess sometimes we take our friends for granted.

I have never been able to tell any friend what they mean to me. But if any friend is really very close to me and mean a lot to me I make it a point to be there for them in their times of need no matter what. That is the only way I can show that I care.

Your discussion reminds me that i haven't told my best friend that she's mean a lot to me for a long time.. I forgot to tell her how ni appriciate to have her around and that i do love her as a family.. I guess sometimes we forget a simple things like thanking each other and tell them you'll love them which sure does will brighten up you and your friend life..

I find ways to tell my friends what they mean to me every time we are together. They all know that they are important to me for their own unique reasons, with more unique reasons developing every day of our friendship.
