I have come to the point where i come home from work and click on the computer to just be here with you all and noticed i forgot to check
my mail...How many of you have done this?
Do you have a mailbox? Or a letterbox?
What I mean to say is … do you have a box outside your house where the letters go? Or is there a slot in your front door?

LOL! That is funny! I have never forgotten to get the mail. I look forward to the mail every day! LOL! And, my mailbox is at the end of my driveway. But, I wish it were on the house. We have had mail stolen from our mailbox that might not have been had it been on the house where someone would have to risk being seen if they came up to my front door and tried to steal my mail.

Now thats not nice getting mail stolen..I've lost mail from others this way so i can relate

It really stinks and it leaves you feeling so violated. Ugh! I hated when it happened. Especially since it was around the time that we were expecting the package from our accountant to file our taxes at that time. It was a couple of years ago but, it was only the first of a few more times.

There is a slot in my front door Rosie. Through that little hole comes a multitude of excitement. Letters from loved ones telling us of their adventures. Postcards from exotic places. Letter with PRIVATE on the outside that I just know is something financial. Come to tell us that we are not quite as rich as we thought. Bills, bill and more bills. How people love to send us their bills. The Government likes to write too. It has just told me that they made an overpayment to me on my tax credits last year by $200. They didn't give me any tax credits last year, or this. Oh what fun we are going to have with that one. Once I have sorted all that out though. I come here and look for missives from lovely people all around the World that can't write to me using that hole in the door. One of my favourites is a certain lady in Texas. She always brightens my day. XX

I am awake Rosie and it's 2.15pm here. So getting on for mid afternoon. I do have a favourite in Texas. Pretty young thing. She has her own store too. She even sent me a picture of a bed!! Have you heard of the place she lives - San Marcos I think that it's called. If you see her, give her a squeeze from me. XX

I usually check it after I pick my son up from school. Our mailbox is in the lobby. If he is sick then i often forget or wait until the evening to check the mail when my hubby is home.

I forgot again and now have to go check it..LOL..maybe i need a reminder about it..I got home and was hungry so came inside without checking so i guess food came first!

well my mailbox is in the entrance foyer of my building, so before I go out for any errand I check the mail to see if there is something urgent or dire I need to take care of right away...once checked I keep it in the box until my return home then pick it up then. No right now I'm particularly checking my mail as I'm expecting a few important pieces of mail to come soon

I live rurally, and the postwoman comes to the end of my driveway and takes and drops off mail in my mailbox.
We forget to check our mail sometimes.

Hi! Whenever i go to work, and gets back after work, i always check my mailbox,which is kept outside, without fail. It has become a routine for me.
