All of this and I'm still in a good mood!

I just got home from running errands and a dinner out and upon reflection think to myself, "you know I've had one heck of a day". Starts out with me having a doctors appointment this afternoon. My son and I walk to the bus in 96 degree temperatures and wait for over a half hour. The bus is late and therefore, so am I late for my appointment. I call the doctors office to ask them to keep our scheduled appointments, we will be there momentarily. They tell me they don't find either of us scheduled. Needless to say, I had scheduled the appointment over a month ago and this is the second time this has happened to me. I am not happy, and now I have to trek home in the heat. Later I have a payment to make to the US Dept of Education. That means going down to a check exchange and loading a card for $50. They then inform me that after the card is loaded my available balance is $48. Turns out my card is in the deficit. How the hell is a prepaid card in the deficit? So to add another $1.15 it costs me another fee of $6 to load my card. My $50 payment has not cost me $62. Then we go out to dinner to a Mexican restaurant at my behest. I order soup and 2 fish tacos. The fish is raw and the soup is so salty I almost choked. I had to return it and ask that I not be charged. Appetite is also gone. And now I'm back home. But guess what I'm still in a good mood. Its just one of those days and I'm not letting it get to me. So how was your day?

Well... I had a very bad 7 days. You see... I have spent the past 3 months building this Gaul Village on http://www.travian.co.uk/?uc=uk5_4279 7 days ago... my village was attacked by an army of 1500 soldiers while I only had 200 soldiers. We managed to kill 200 of them before dying. I rebuild my army as quickly as possible... but they are many limitations in the game... and you can only do so much each day (in real time). Someone else attacks me 5 days later with an army of 240 soldiers. By then... I still only have 150 soldiers... but better trained than the previous one. I manage to defeat him and kill 77 of them while taking 100 prisoners... while losing 68 of my men again. 2 days later he comes back with an army of 332 soldiers. I still only have 180 soldiers... and while they manage to kill 170 of his... my whole army is killed off. Now he is not happy with me for killing that many of his men... and he comes back twice a day to prevent me rebuilding my army. I need to find a new strategy before he takes my village over. Aaaah! The stress of it all!

Wow, bless your heart. It does sound like you have had one mighty day. I myself had a pretty good day. I went to show an apartment, and I really liked the gal. She was a really funny lady. I really hope she decides to rent from me. I think she would be a great tenant. Then I stopped by a friend's son's baseball game. He didn't great and got on base every time he got up to bat. He even got to be the relief pitcher, so I was glad to get to see him pitch. Best of all, they won the game 17-4. Still have a lot of work to do. But the day, and weekend for that matter, is going just fine. :)

Good luck on getting the apartment. Especially since you get along with the landlady so well.

Oh you did have a bit of a stinky day. I had not too bad a day, I just had a leisurely laid back day, I did some washing and phoned my Mum. Was on the phone for over 2 hours and then even when I came off we were still texting! I watched my favourite sunday soaps and spent some time on the computer, although not as much as I had hoped for. We had take away for dinner and then I bathed my kids and then when all was quiet I settled down and watched some tv and spent a bit more time on my computer. Did not have the hot weather like you, think ours was about 60 degrees and dull and rainy. But not yucky rain, it was quite pleasant rain if you know what I mean.

Oh my gosh, what I wouldn't give for 60 degree weather with rain. I hate the heat, but then again I hate the bitter cold. No satisfying me. LOL.

My day was pretty good. My stepson will be 5 on Tuesday. I went to walmart bought him some clothes and a book. Then after I got them to bed I had my mom watch them for a bit and I ran down to Target. I then bought him one of those bounce balls that you sit on I know he will love it because it has Spiderman on it. , more clothes and his Birthday Card. I then came home and here I am! :) It's been a pretty good day. Oh, I also bought them a pool so swim in so they had fun with that today as it was 81 out. I'm glad to hear your doing good after all that has happened today.

I'm sure your stepson will be very pleased with his gifts. Isn't it fun to go shopping for someone when you know the end result will be so positive?

That sounds about like alot of days that I have. nothing seems to go right but I keep pushing myself forward anyway. I didn't have a very good day either. My husband and I are trying to finish our back deck and put a roof on it. We did not get much accomplished today with it and ended up arguing over stupid stuff. I was going to go to bed but I forced myself to cook us something to eat. I laid down and I am back working again now. I work seven days per week, but I feel like I do it all for everyone else but myself. I'm sorry you had a bad day too. I hope today is better for you.

Sounds like a fantastic day sweetheart! I am so glad you have taken all of that in your stride and still manage to have a smile on your face! My day has been ok - in fact if you ignore the fact that I had a minor breakdown today , which I do from time to time what with the pain and not having independence, went to the shops and got my daughter a new outfit and also a mandarin cheesecake which was deliciously tasty but the thing that has kept me happy is that my son asked for money - an ordinary enough thing you might say BUT it was to go and get a haircut! Yippee he has been growing his hair for months and it is very thick, coarse and unruly and he granted my wish by getting it cut! That has made my week! lol xxx

Poor you. What a drag. The card thing is outrageous. I would complain to the card company. As you say, how can your exceed a pre-pay card. My day has just begun. For a change the sun is shining and the temperature rising - even out hottest days don't get to 96 degrees usually. Currently it is about 71. Pleasantly comfortable. I have taken my wife to her office. Hung out some washing - got another load in. Wait for the sob story later! I have also noticed that what I thought was a jungle is in fact our lawn. I shall be mounting an expedition out there too no doubt. Might just have a coffee first.

good for you kbourgerie to be still in a good mood after a day like that. It really irks me when I go to keep an appointment and i am marked not scheduled when I had made the appointment over a month before. does someone not remember to write it down? My day has actually been pretty good although I am still having some pain from my shingles but mostly its from the IBS it triggered. HOwver I am really feeling pretty good and mylotting takes my mind off my pain really quite well. I find if I do not think about this pain it does go away.

That is the second time they have done that to me and they have computers to keep track of appointments for goodness sake. I'm sorry you are still in pain from your shingles. I hope you mend quickly.

I've had a wonderful day by visiting my mother who lives with one of my older sister and her husband and their baby. I got to see my very lovable 9 month old niece. And there are bonuses. I got to meet a cousin, with her 2 sons who are both below 10. They have slept over for 2 consecutive days. There also were our oldest sister and her 3 kids, all minors as well. My second to the oldest sister was there too with her husband. My brother's wife and their 3 kids were there too. We were one terribly crowded extended family for half a day. Then later this afternoon, each family sneaked back to their own homes. I can't explain the joy I felt upon seeing most of my immediate family were in one house. I haven't visited them in a while. I kept holding and kissing my mom and my 9 month old niece alternatingly. They were all very happy to see me and the ice cream I brought them. Unfortunately, the ice cream was not enough for everybody because I had not expected the big number of people I would be seeing there. I only brought half a gallon. My mother just let her share be given to the kids.

Isn't it great when we can have a really crazy day and still come out of it flying high on life. I've had a few days like that myself. They don't come often and so I cherish each and everyone of them. Wishing you another good day tomorrow.

Wow sounds like you had a rough day. My day was really good. It started about 2 hours earlier than normal because well..i had pop before bed last night and had nightmares (i should know better i know) and i finally gave up trying to sleep at about 5am. I puttered about my house, read a book for a while, watered my garden and plants before 9 am. At 9 my sister picked me up for a shopping trip into the city. It was a busy day and very enjoyable. I found some awesome deals for some new summer clothes, my moms birthday gift, my dad's father's day gift, I got my air conditioner I've been saving for 50% off in a special sale so i was VERY excited about that. We went to fabric land and purchased material (i love that store i could spend so much money on fabric for quilting) Again..everything i purchased was on sale in that store (mostly buy one metre get 2 free). We came home & hid the gifts we purchased...hopefully dad doesnt get snoopy before Father's day but he always does. One day I'm going to get him something small enough i can hide in a tampon box He wont look there!
