Are you going to Happy Hetero this year?

I'm all for celebrating our sexuality, but why, if there is a Gay Pride Day, is there no equivalent for heterosexuals? It's time we took to the streets, boys and girls linking arms and singing "we're proud to be heteros" at the top of our voices. I love Pride and the symbolism that it presents. Happiness and love. So let's have one of our own. What events shall we hold, what is your carnival float theme going to be? And music - what anthems should we use. Forget BOB girls, grab Bob and strut your stuff.

Why not just have a we are people parade and bring everyone in - a rainbow of sexuality, colours, cultures, religions and everything else! We could call it the Rainbow Parade and I have the perfect anthem - the theme tune to the kids tv show - Rainbow! xxxx

There's more: All along the streams and rivers, shining in the lakes, See the colours of the rainbow as the morning breaks. Paint the whole world with a rainbow. Red, the colour of a sunrise, White clouds floating in a sky of blue, Green for the rivers, Gold for the cornfields, The day is shining new. Red, the colour of a sunset, Grey shadows creep across the hills, The sun is sinking, colours are fading, The fields are dark and still. Take some green from a forest, blue from the sea, Find the misty pot of gold, And mix them for a week. Paint the whole world with a rainbow. Red, the colour of a sunrise, White clouds floating in a sky of blue, Green for the rivers, Gold for the cornfields, The day is shining new. Thank you the internet for the verses that I didn't actually know.

I agree that we should celebrate being heterosexual. My first thought fo the anthem was 'My Dear Old Dutch' but Mr Croc wrote the following verse so try this out: We're hetero men,in a hetero world. Hey hetro, hetro. Our wild oats we keep on sowing. Hey hetro, hetro. We, marry women and we father kids. We kiss and cuddle and wear skid lids. Hey hetro, hetro. Let's give a cheer for hetro men. For us this song I had to pen. Hey hetro, hetro. Use your own tune.

Maybe he could and he's probably enjoy it. Not sure about the singing though.

Mr Croc will be pleased, thank you.

I have set it to "We're men in tights". "From Robin Hood and Men in Tights". It seemed appropriate in some way. LOL. Good old Mr Croc getting in the party spirit. Perhaps he could sing this with some suitable macho dancers, whilst being admired by some fawning young girls.

You are not wrapped too tight, are you? LOL. You know a guy may be gay, but he is still a man. You better leave them alone before they come get you. Can you imagine being chased down the street by a gay guy? What will your neighbors think? Heck, what would your wife think? I would assume you were simply playing hard to get, hehe.

Oh yes, I can cut a rug. No need to deny that. I love dancing as a way of physical exercise. It is also a lot of fun.

I'm not sure that I want to be chased by any guy Rozie, extremely happy or not. LOL. But why not? Let's all celebrate our happiness. We'll be picking you up, don't you worry. I want to see some dancing queen stuff. You can strut your fancy stuff I just know it.

you know, u can go to gay pride day and feel completely normal! my friends (both gay and straight) go, because its a place where no one will judge you and nothing is too weird! my girlfriend and I go every year and love that we can be ourselves and not get asked to let a man in... but we also go to city parades and feel the same way! i guess its just a matter of how comfortable you are with yourself.. can us lezzies come to the happy hetero day.. we used to be straight.. now we're open lol

i'm sure he liked half of it, the female half.. men are so silly about seeing two other men kiss!

I felt Normal last year but he didn't like it. Groan. Sorry. I like Mummymo's suggestion above. Let's just have one big rainbow parade. In the meantime, Lezzies are always welcome. Everyone is. Happiness in an increasingly unhappy world is what it's all about.

If there is one thing that I can guarantee Sue, it is that Nova's float will be the most colourful, joyous and noisy place. Everyone will be well lubricated too.

On the other page Mummymo suggested that we celebrate all sexuality. If you want to do it doggy style then that's fine! So long as they play nicely and aren't - ruff. I see no problem in having pu$$ies stroked. Do you? LOL.

Heck, I see that parade every Friday and Saturday at the malls and other places young folks gather. Talk about flaunting their sexuality! I sometimes wonder what behavior they have left to do in private!

Maybe in their vernacular "sleep together" is really what they do - sleep!

As a gay man, I would love to see the hetero parade! LOL There is nothing wrong in having pride, and i believe that hetero's have just as much to be proud of as we do :)
