This poor seagull had a close call when he was on the scrounge for the sealions tea! This had to be one of the highlights for me of the trip to the zoo. I patiently waited for 45 minutes to get a good position at their feeding time. I love the sealions, I think that they are lovely and they just love to play, one of my favourites for definate!
The rest of my family were not too chuft about the wait, but I had done all the things they wanted to do and so now they could at least do this one little thing for me!
Have you ever made your family wait ages somewhere because you wanted to see something?
So what are your favourite animals when you go to the zoo?

We have a safari park a few moles away and we try to go out and visit every so often! There was a gorgeous baby giraffe there last year and of course there are the sealions which I do adore but the fact I know it is bits of fish they are feeding them and the fishy smell! pew! We used to have teh little monkeys that roamed around the enclosures but they had to be culled with the fear of mad cow disease a few years back - those were my favourites - even when they were stealing your wiper blades! xxxx

I love baby giraffes, they are so cute, there are no giraffes at Blackpool Zoo but it is a lovely clean zoo. Well worth a visit if you go to Blackpool.

My favourite animals, or birds rather, are the penguins. When our daughter was small my wife worked on saturdays and I often used to take daughter to London Zoo. We'd head straight for the penguins and spend ages watching them. Then we'd move on to the monkeys and apes. My poor wife would have to wait to be picked up often because we were wanting to watch feeding time.

I cannot actually remember seeing any penguins you know, I guess there were none there. They are funny though the penguins, everytime we see a penguin my son calls it by his teachers name as he says that she walks like a penguin!

Amen to that. I am always doing what my husband and my daughter want to do. It wears me out sometimes and alot of times, it is boring. WE went to the zoo last year and when we got to the gorillas, we stayed in there for about an hour. It was nice and air conditioned and the gorillas amaze me anyway. They didn't complain though. They liked it also.

It's been a while I have no visited any zoo. The last time was 2000 when I was able to have a picture of the python. ANyway, I love seeing crocodiles,tiger,lion and monkeys.We have limited types of animals in my Country and I am looking forward to visit zoo here so that I will be expose to more animals that I have not seen yet in person!

no I never make my family wait for anything, they always make me wait lol. At the zoo, I love the tigers, and lions, they are the most beautiful creatures on this earth as far as I am concerned.

They are beautiful, we saw some at the zoo and they were lovely. I took some pictures of the lions being fed, I will try and think of a discussion for them so that I can put them on for you. xx

gemini rose I love going to the zoo. I think the jaguars aremy
most favorite animal as they are so sleek and pretty.
I really love to see all the different animals though.
I made my folks wait while I found the jaguars so I could
just watch them prowling back and forth. such beauty.

I do not think that I have seen a Jaguar in the zoo, they are a beautiful animal though.

you really should compile these photos together into a seperate album, there all really good shots 
i havent been to a zoo since i was a kid, always annoyed me when the grownups would spend alla their time in the monkey house and lookin at birds.. i wanted to see the big cats, up close and personal. bears, wolves.. that sorta thing.
