What's a vacation? Seriously, given a choice I would have a short vacation each season. We often go north in the hottest part of the summer, to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, usually around July 4. The first time we did, I had to find a place to buy a flannel nightgown.

Really hard to do. I find I even have a hard time staying away that long. Next spring we would like to make a little trip to Arkansas, to the Crater of Diamonds.

We go both in summer and fall. I love the color of the changing leaves. Although I live right smack dab in the middle of it all, I like to travel the area to view it.

My family has started going back to California every summer (I was born there). I loooooove going... The weather is perfect and it's so nice to get away from everything here. We still have family/friends out there who we stay with whenever we go. Since I work in retail, I'm not allowed to take vacations at Christmas - so having that summer vacation saves my sanity!

Working retail has its rewards and also its downers too. I hated working evenings and weekends and never having a vacation during the summer months. There was always someone else that had senority and they always took the best vacation time for themselves.
I have never been to California. Hubby wants to one day see it. I don't know if I like a place that is straight out of a Carole King song......"I feel the Earth move under my feet"!

I have the most senority at Nordstrom, but it doesn't matter when it comes to the holidays since NOBODY is allowed to take a vacation then. My manager will pretty much give me whatever I want during summer though, so that's nice :)
You should go to CA! It's sooo pretty there :) It's amazing because you can drive for an hour one way and be in the desert, an hour the other way and you're in the mountains. Definitely my favorite state!

I like spring or fall. The weather seems to be the best anywhere you go that time of the year.

I have been to a couple of places in the fall when the weather is a bit on the chilly side and rainy too.
