I've finally reached my 500th post! I've wanted that almost since the day I joined, because you can copy and paste once you reach your 500th post.
Yippee!!! I can't believe I'm so excited about such a little thing, but myLot seems to instill this excitement in me.
Strange, isn't it? How we can get so addicted to something we can't ingest, smell or hear. But myLot has me hooked, for sure.
I just had to share my excitement. My thanks to everyone for having such wonderful discussions. I can copy and paste now!!!

Something odd happened today. I copied and pasted a website onto here and it worked. I did not realize it until after that I should not be able to do that.
Is it that you can copy and paste small things, only?

I have no idea! I only read that you had to wait until your 500th post before copying and pasting. Maybe you just snuck one in while they weren't looking.
Try it again and see if it works. If it does, that's wonderful! I just wish I had tried it sooner. Maybe I wouldn't have had to wait so long. LOL

I tried a full paragraph and it did not work but shorter things did work. See here...

I find if it's short (like a short link) you can post it. If it's long (some links are too long and I have to do it in two parts) you can do it.
I think it's to protect this place from newbies who want to come in, post a lot of words that are not theirs and get credit for it. (Shame on them).

congrats on your 500th. i can't hardly wait until I'm able to copy and paste. this would make much easier on my spelling. I be excited also, I'll post my 500th also.

I read the rules and regulations pretty thoroughly when I joined. It hurt me that I could not copy and paste until I reached 500, because there were times when it really would have been convenient!
Now that I can do it, I can't think of anything to copy and paste!

Yes, I am also approaching the "magic" 500 and have also been looking forward to the day when I will be able to copy and paste! I have been looking forward to it for a looooooong time! Congratulations and enjoy it! I can understand your excitement and it is definitely NOT "such a little thing"!!!!

Same with me! LOL I've wanted to copy and paste things earlier, but can't even remember what they were now. And I can't think of a single thing to do it with at the moment.

hi mentalward. Congratulations on reaching 500 post so fast:). It took me about a year to post 500 responses. I don't need copy and paste option while posting, so it wasn't so exciting for me. But I was glad that I managed to reach my first payout - it was really exciting for me:). I have never been paid just for posting before.

Congratulations. I'm long from being there, but I'll get there, you'll see. My first goal is 200 posts, and then I'll go for that 500 mark. I'm used to type something in word and copy/paste it afterwards to where it has to be. I 'hate' not being able to do that yet with myLot. Oh well, I can understand why they do it, but it's a bit inconvenient for me.
Did you find something to copy/paste?

I think it's the same with most 'wants' we have in live. As long as we don't have our greatest desire in live we can always use it. The moment we have it, we put it aside most of the time, 'cause it's not usefull anymore. The human being is a complicated animal ;-)

It's funny, but it took me awhile before I actually DID copy and paste anything here once I was able to!
I know what you mean about not being able to. Many times before I reached 500, it would have been so helpful to be able to do it. Now that I can, I rarely use it! Go figure!

You know I working my way up there. But I have actually been able to copy and paste SOME things since day one. Had a few tricks though!

I know a few things, but I'm nowhere near good enough to even know how to BEGIN looking for "tricks". My son is good at that sort of stuff, but, alas, too late. I've already reached the 500 mark.
P.S. So what's the significance of '19'? I'm curious. In Yahoo, I'm known as LadySmith414. The 414 is my birthday, so I like that number. But why 19?

Oh, how cool! Thanks so much for sharing that information! I'm going to start doing that now, well, whenver I think about it. It's funny, I've been able to copy and paste for almost 50 posts now and I've only done it about 3 times! LOL
I guess it was the thrill of the chase, huh? Nah, once I get used to it, I'll be doing it more often.

I never thought of it that way! Hmmm... superpower, eh? Suddenly, I feel like I'm Master (okay, Mistress) of the Universe! 
My advice for reaching that big 500 is to simply have fun and enjoy yourself here. That number really kinda crept up on me so fast that I didn't see it coming! When I realized I had reached it, it really was a surprise!

Congrats first for reaching 500 points.Now you can copy and past very much.But what i will suggest you is not to copy some waste content and put it in mylot so be careful about what you are pasting in mylot.

Thank you! I'm very careful about what I copy/paste. I only reference medical advice and things like that. Otherwise, I just copy responses that I've made before I hit the post comment button, because I've lost a few before.

Wow congratulations! I really want to get my 500th post as soon as possible (I know, I've got a lot of work ahead of me!) because then I can copy and paste as well. I really need that since the internet on my computer breaks down a lot which is extremely annoying! So I copy my answer every time before I actually post it, but now I have to type the whole thing over and that takes a lot of time... Anyway, congratulations and keep mylotting. ^^

Yes, you can copy and paste articles here, as long as you include the source of the article along with it.
I've been here in myLot since May 13, so not quite a month yet.
It seems like a lot of writing, but if you enjoy it here the time will fly by and you'll reach 500 before you know it!

OK,so wen you reach your five hundred mark for posts then you can copy and paste?but there must be time used to copy and paste,so maybe if the article is a smaller one then it would be as quick if not quicker to type it out anyway.But as I am o where near that amount of posts I will have to find out wen it comes,to copy or paste or to type?

Yes, once you have reached 500 posts, you are able to copy and paste.
Sometimes it is faster to type something out if it is short. It comes in very handy, though, when you want to copy a website address to post in myLot. That way, you will know that you haven't misspelled it.
