I love them both. I just love a wonderful live performance, especially a musical. I don't get to go as much as I would like to since I have 3 kids and one of them is to young to sit through a performance and be polite. I also love going to the movies.

I prefer to go to the cinema as it is cheaper compared to going to a live performance. Of course, the best is still watching DVD at home. For the price of one ticket, the whole family can watch it. It is a 75% cost savings.

I am torn. Being originally from New York I went to see plays at Broadway ALL THE TIME but I also like to go to the movies and see a good one once in a while. However, nothing beats a live performance!! That's for sure

I like both equally well, and I cannot tell what I prefer. Certainly I would rather see a good movie than a bad theatrical performance, and I would rather see a good theatrical performance than a bad movie. It depends on what how good the actors are. I have seen more movies that theater, so I cannot give an accurate idea of what I would prefer. Theater is harder to do than movies because you can film a movie in an outside setting, where as in theater the sets are usually constructed and you have to use your imagination.

I like theatre in the round presentations. The most interesting one I saw of those was Bus Stop. They actors were not big names like in the film version, but they did a great job. The college I went to for undergraduate studies has a rich cultural exchange program and brought in top performers from New York and we could get in to see the plays free in exchange for ushering or whatever. Also if the theatre did not fill all seats would go to students for free, first come first served. I used to sit on the stairs in front of the theatre up to 5 hours to see those shows. I would just take a pile of books and study the whole time. I also went to see all of the Moliere plays put on by the students in the French Drama department. It was so cool because they coincided with the assignments in our literature classes.

That's a hrd question. I can't really choose one over the other. That's my favorite part about living so close to New York City. I like what Broadway has to offer. Hopefully one day I can make my own rock opera. But movies are my passion as well as music. So, I'm going to say that I like them both equally.

I love both.but i don't go to theater very often.I like to watch movies on theater because of big screen , sound effect and even with many friends.it really makes me very happy. I cant watch all the movies in theater because of first time and second is costly. I do watch only some super hit movies in theater and rest movies in my computer.

I hardly get the time to watch movies my friend. Last movie was "My Fair Lady," an old classic that I was longing to watch for a long, long time, and I watched it on my laptop coz we have no TV at home, just a DVD player that we use to listen to songs. I guess I am not a movie person. I love films, but these days, there is hardly any time for such fun. Besides, I hardly step out of home to visit a theater. Cheers and happy mylotting!

Hi as2006! I do love theater since I really enjoy watching the actors perform live. I do love cinema also. I think it also depend what movies or plays that are being shown. And I do like them both. Take care and God bless!

I like both cinema and theatre. It's very interesting to watch actors on stage. But more often I go to the cinema, as it's cheaper here.
