I am hosting a poker night at my house tonight for a bunch of my girlfriends. I just made some spinach dip as a little snack for us to have. I love serving it in a bread bowl. I always make it when I have get togethers, just so I can eat it. What is your signature dish for get togethers?

How do you make spinach dip? I would like to try it out. My son likes all kinds of dips and perhaps serving a spinach dip may encourage him to have spinach. He stays away from all kinds of greens and we all know how important green veggies are. Can u also pass on some more recipes for dips. As for my signature dish, there isn't really one but three or four of them. One is a salad which perhaps can be called my signature dish as it's a must-have at all parties in my house. It consists of raw carrots, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms sauteed in butter, green peas, baby corn and occasionally baby potatoes. I toss all these in Thousand Island Dressing and and if I don't have that, I use garlic cheese sauce, sprinled with freshly ground pepper. Guests just lap it up. Sometimes if I have no time cook a vegetable, I just serve this. U can add any number of ingredients to this salad.

You really don't even taste the spinach so hopefully he will like it! The bread bowl makes the dish though, it is so much fun to eat too! INGREDIENTS 1 cup mayonnaise 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream 1 (1.8 ounce) package dry leek soup mix 1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped 1/2 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained 1 (1 pound) loaf round sourdough bread DIRECTIONS In a medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, dry leek soup mix, water chestnuts and chopped spinach. Chill in the refrigerator 6 hours, or overnight. Remove top and interior of sourdough bread. Fill with mayonnaise mixture. Tear removed bread chunks into pieces for dipping.

i love those spinach dips in the bread bowls. my aunt brought it for christmas eve dinner. it was great. i always make little sausages wrapped in bacon. they are yummy. you wrap them in bacon then sprinkle brown sugar on top. then you bake them in the oven until the bacon is done. it is really good and everyone likes them. they go pretty fast.

That sounds like alot of fun. I hope you all have a great night together. I love to make sausage, cheese dip or nachos. I don't think i have ever tried the spinach dip. I'm not much on spinach though. I may like if I ever tried it. I make my sausage, cheese dip in a crock pot and serve it hot over nacho chips. You should try that also sometime.

I make the usual stuff everyone is used to usually, but sometimes at the holidays I make peanut butter fudge, it is pretty close to Reese's in flavor. Also, I make really good bruschetta as appetizers or when guests come over I make great cheese fondue. :D

My sister always insists that I make spinach dip for family get togethers. She knows how to make it, but she always says that it tastes better when I make it.

I love spinach dip and make that from time to time, too. As far as a signature dish goes though I make a meat crab dip which most folks down here haven't had until they eat it at my house because I'm a transplant to the south so I make it Maryland style.

I love changing things up everytime we have a get together. I like the spinach dips, taco dips, broken glass, drumstick cheesecake, wings, chicken fingers, mozza sticks, pretty much everything that you could think of. I don't always do the same thing over unless I know that they really enjoy it I might do it often. I am constantly finding new appitizers to try and enjoy.
