How do you like your steak?

I have a hankering for a nice, big, fat steak. I have been cutting down on my red meat trying to be healthier, but I really want a steak. So I think tomorrow I will either go out for one or pick a couple up at the grocery store and throw them on the grill. When I make my own I have my own marinade sauce I make up and I leave them in the fridge soaking it up overnight. Then on the grill they go. I like mine well done with mushrooms and I throw some A-1 Steak Sauce on it. Yummy! So how do you like your steak done? Do you have a preferred way of preparing it? What do you like to eat with it?

I've never been very good at cooking steak, but I LOVE steak with mesquite seasoning on it. It is soooooooo good! And, I order it medium-rare because by the time I get it it's usually medium (because it continues to cook a bit even off the grill). I eat more chicken and fish than I used to, but every once in a while, a steak is just the right thing to satisfy my hunger. In fact, I had a wonderful butter-tender sirloin on Friday with mesquite seasoning at our local steakhouse. I do so wish I could cook one as well at home!

I've been trying to cut down on my red meat also, but it's grill season so every once in a while I treat myself.

Yeah I love steaks. When it comes to eating a steak I would rather have it to be rare-done because I think it's got the best taste as well as being succulent...and covered by mushroom sauce, accompanied by chips and vegetables.

I love a good steak every now and then myself. When I eat them I want them cooked either medium well or well done. I always cover them with A-1 steak sauce. This is a good discussion but you are making me hungry LOL!!!

LOL...I was hungry last night when I started it. I didn't get my steak today either. On a bright note I will this week, though...lol.

Mushrooms and A-1 sauce, sound really good, that's how I like mine with some onions & peppers, and medium rare cooked out on my charcoal grill! I'll have a macaroini salad and corn on the cob with my steak.

I use my Traeger pellet grill to fix steaks. I marinat them in Jack Daniels marinade first. You can buy it at Walmart it comes in a bag you just put the steaks in it and put it in the fridge for an hour and then grill.

Cool... I used to make some of the JD stuff at the factory I worked in. It was pretty cool, but they kept a sharp eye on the JD...lol.

I guess I am pretty boring with my steak! lol I just usually eat it totally plain. I like it to be well done, and then I eat it without anything extra added to it. I just really love the flavor of steak all by itself. I've tried it with steak sauce before if the meat was dry or something, to add a little moisture, but I usually just prefer it totally plain.
