Well Yesterday my family and I went to the amusement park/water park.We always get pizza there. It costs $6.99 for 2 slices of pizza. We were eating our pizza and a lady behind us came over and she had bought a box of pizza that costs $29.99 for her and her sons. they could not eat it all, she wanted us to have the 3 pieces that they could not eat, she said she did not want to throw them out.I told her, that was very nice of her, that we would be glad to eat them. And we did..My daughters husband said, how do you know she did not do something to the pizza!Well that thought never even crossed my mind. She was being very kind and sweet. Would you have eaten this pizza?

I think I won't be eating a pizza from a stranger. No matter how kind, sweet or thoughtful a person is, if you do not know him, he/she is a stranger. A stranger is a stranger. No matter what. Sure she didn't have any evil intentions but what if it was the other way around right? We can never really tell what one person is thinking or any intentions or schemes he/she has under her/his sleeve. We cannot really read people's minds right? Even if we are close to a person we cannot fully understand every thought that swims inside his/her brain. What more from someone we have never even mt before? That is why we need to be cautious at all times. We shouldn't be blinded by the outside appearance of an individual. It could be a facade. So there... Please be careful. ^^

Well, to a point you are right. I trust and believe in God, I have not made it to 56 years old by not being careful though, I do not didtrust each and every person I run accross.I too have given food away, so it will not be wasted. There are so many people in this world who have nothing to eat.I do not like to waste things at all. This woman had no reason to harm me or my family, how would she have benifited by it?

Well pizza is my favorite food, we saw this family eating it, so no reason to think anything was wrong with it.

Wow...that was thoughtful of her. It was the intention of her heart that speaks louder than words. With all of the foods wasted these days from restraunts, deli, bars and whatnot, the thought of it makes me want to puke. But, with people like that woman restores my faith in humanity. Yeah, she could have done something to it, but so could the people making it in the first place. Besides, since she was just with her sons, there was something about your children and husband that probably brightened her day...to see a family out like that. If that were me, yeah, I'd had taken it. I think it would have made her feel bad if I didn't. Sometimes, people are too proud.

Thank you so much for your kindness! What I noticed in particular about you is you've taken the time to respond to everyone's response. Even I can't do that!

Yes there are still good samitians out there, she made our day.I think wasting food is a sin and a shame, why not give it to others, there are a lot that need food, and can not afford it.You are right the people making it could have done something to it as well.

Actually it is dangerous to eat from people whome we do not know. There are many cases in our country where in trains, co passengers befriend you, then offer you coffe or tea or food laced with sedatives. By the time you are up and about, you are robbed of everything you had. Maybe if I were in your place, I would have also eaten as it is an amusement park and you dont really carry valuable with you there. Sometimes, the good people also suffer because of the bad.

I would take it. I think it's nice to be able to give something away when you have too much, so why not accept it when you're on the other hand. We live in a society that people think other's are only out there to hurt them, but if you life your live like that you miss out on so much.

It's such a shame people think they need to live their live scared. I believe you can have a richer live if you're open to others and not think others are out there to hurt you. I hope my kids will learn that, although they need to be carefull with strangers, they need to have an open mind when they go through live.

well,i think in this case it was alright to eat the pizza, you knew where it came from and she was just being friendly, but i am careful about taking food or drinks in certain places.like,at a bar i would not let a guy buy me a drink unless the bartender handed it to me.

Hi friends, Usually you can tell if someone is clean and not out to get you. So yes, I probably would take the food. It is so sad how much food we waste in this country every single day. The only thing that really makes me sick are the less fortunate people that you see out on the street (where they live) going through garbage cans. That is disgusting. I can't imagine eating a half eaten hamburger or something someone has taken a bite of. Thats gross!!!! Cheryl

I think I wouldn't. Your daughters husband was right. Maybe she pretended to be nice. what else? I think you already bought enough food for you and your family, right? Why you needed extera food?

No, there was one person at our table that did not have pizza.I am soory, I hate to see food wasted also. There are those in this world with nothing to eat. I think that is what is wrong with the world today, people would rather throw things out than help the fellow man.I did nothing to this woman, why should i be suspisious of her?

Well I am much like this woman, I would have given the pizza to someone too, if I could not eat it, it costs too much to just throw it away. She was doing a good deed.

If we were eating in the same place and I saw them purchase it and stuff, and if I am fairly sure that it was not tampered with I would have taken it.

I probably wouldn't of had the pizza, because like the others I'm diabetic but if one of boys was with me, I would of let him take it, you know how boys like to eat. That thought probably wouldn't of crossed my mind either, about her doing something to the pizza. Some people get offended too if you don't accept the offer.

I would have eaten it, but we would have paid her for her trouble and not taken it for free. And I cannot understand how a nice sweet lady would do something to the pizza. After all her and her sons would have been in trouble as well. It sure was nice of her and she could have thrown it in the trash and it would have been such a waste.

There are a lot of variables here, sunkissed. First of all I would have had to seen the woman and her sons actually eating pizza from the box before I would accept it. I don't think it would be wise to take anything from someone who just walked up to you and offered it. It's a good practice never to accept food or drink that has been opened. We have to face up to the fact that people don't always have the best intentions towards us.

If we are in real need of food I would take food so my boys don't go hungary. Now I have given food away to people that have needed it also.

hi, could be that she was just trying to be kind and sweet and genuinly did not want to throw the food out. However i would not take any food from a total stranger. I would be afraid to do that. hope i am not being too weird about it.

It depends on from whom, what occasion. I think people usually unused to accept food from other people, but if things like your encounter, may accept it without unease
