How long does it take a cat to have kittens. My cat is about two weeks and I was wondering when the kittens would be here?

I assume your cat is two weeks along in her pregnancy and not two weeks old (lol). I think the average gestation for a cat is about 8 weeks, but I could be wrong. It's been a long time since I had a cat that would have kittens. What kind of cat is she? Is she a purebred? Are you just beginning to get into breeding, or was this an accident?

She should be OK. One thing I've noticed is that about a day or two before the kittens are born, you can see them moving around in her belly. Also, she would have already found a place to give birth and will probably be hiding in this spot more often. Be sure that you keep you clean sheets, clothes, etc, out of her reach.

Thanks for the best response. Are the kittens born yet?
