we moved from ok 6 months ago. a week before we left our dog got out and someone took her. we looked and looked for her all week with no luck. i have serched the net for months hoping someone would post a found dog ad or i would she her at a shelter. well sunday morning i got a phone call saying she was found. we had her chipped so when they scanned her they got our info. its was great but now we have to figure out how to get her from ok to pa. i spent most of the day on the phone yesterday and to fly her here would cost us at least $500 and we don't have it. we have no way of coming up with it either. if any one knows of any other ways of getting her here please share. any ideas! thank you all

well, you can do it yourself with driving a car or something like that...

i've made that trip 10 times and with the cost of gas it would be cheaper to fly her and we just don't have that kind of money.

i'm sorry to hear about your situations... but i'm glad that at least you find your dog... may be you can ask for help from your local animal organisation from your country and ask them what they can do to help you... or put an add in the newspaper asking for donations from generous people who love animals... just a thought though... good luck and hopefully you will be able to be reunited with your dog again soon... take care and have a nice day...

I am sorry that you lost your dog but I am also glad that they found her for you. Those chips work really great. I would love to have one for my dog also. I just have not set aside the funds for it because we have so many other bills. I am just wandering if they could send her by UPS or FEDEX or something like that. It would have to be marked fragile. I know they have DHL delieveries also. I would check into something like that. You may have to buy a little insurance on her though to make sure she is transported safely.

i am telling you what that was the best money we ever spent. it wasn't very much either,it was $40 and that was for the chip and all her shots. it took awhile but it has definitly paid off. i did call fedex and ups but fedex said they don't ship pets and ups cost almost as much as it did to fly her. i didn't check dhl so i will call them today and hope they have something good to say. thank you so much

Have you tried posting on craigslist to see if anyone is coming out your way? Maybe someone will be flying or driving and will end near where you live. If you paid them a small fee maybe they would be willing to bring your dog to you. That's really the only thing I can suggest. I'm sure you're happy to find out your dog is safe. Good luck working it out!

This thought just came to my mind if you could arrange enough people to do a tag team sort of travel for your dog. If you could find someone from Oklahoma to drive to meet someone else along the way to travel a ways with your dog and so forth and so on. That is the only thing that I can think of right off the cuff. Hope you can figure something out. I remember when you posted about this when you first moved, and glad to hear they finally located your dog for you.

thank you so much it is a big relieve knowing she is ok. i have worried for months now wondering what happened to her and where she was. right now that is what we are trying to set up is a tag team kind of thing. the lady from the shelter talked to some she knows down there. i guess people drive from shelter to shelter sometimes to transport pets and we are hoping we can do that. one person takes her to one shelter and then the next and so on until she gets up this way to where we can get her. so we're hope that works out. she was talking to animal rescue yesterday and going to call me today so i am hoping for some good news. thank you so much

you might check out a hotshot web site. There are truckers who do hot shot work that might be able to bring your dog (for a fee) to you while they are already headed close to you. It might or might not work but it doesn't cost anything to check. I hope that you get your dog back.

i called the truck drivers that i know and my aunt called the ones she knows but none of them go that way and they didn't know any that did. i did list it on a couple of sites that bid on it. when someone bids something i can afford i can take it. i will try it,whats it gonna hurt. thank you so much
