I just moved out to a new apartment which I rented a small room. This is to reduce petrol consumption for me to travel to work. But, I don't have any internet connection there!!! So, I can't write much on myLot except when I at work and I login to this site during my lunch time! Sigh.. I felt so bad and boring in my life without internet connection!!! I plan to get one in my new place once I really save up the budget. So, what about you? Can you survive without Internet? If yes, what will you do to fill the free time?

the internet has grown from just technology to a phenomenom and very addictive ,i foundd myself depending too much on it so i decided to tajke some break so i can control my penchant for it and now i think i have found a way to reguklate the time i spend online so io can say i can actually survive well without it at least i am no longer addicted as it used to be.

hi lieanat. I can survive without internet, but it would be very hard for me;). I am renting a flat. And I move quite often. So having stable internet connection is difficult for me. I have had many situation, when I had to look for internet provider after changing a flat. I feel uncomfortable without interner access. I can't check the weather, news, or difficult word while making crossword too. I don't watch TV at all, caouse I don't like it, so without internet I don't know what's happening in the world. I don't have problems with filling my free time, I have always something to do:). But without internet it is also hard to earn some additional cash or to look for another job or flat ( I change both from time to time). So I can imagine life without internet, but it would be difficult and I would waste time on going to a bank istead of sending money through internet. By the way, sending money using 'real' bank is paid, while sending money through internet is free for me. It would be also a waste of money. So let's be honest, nowadays it's really hard to do something quick without internet connection. have a nice day, jazgottt.

I can survive just fine without internet. Like on holiday. What to do instead? Look at the beautiful clear blue sea, listen to the birds and my own thoughts. Just relax and feel good to just be - not do.

I really LOVE my internet but I guess if something were to happen I would survive. I would miss getting all of the information and my friends and such, but I would survive after withdrawl.

What I did last week was shut the computer down for three days from everyone in the family to see how we would do and we got so busy that no one even thought about getting online until bedtime and I told them no because the computer is shut down. They did ask when I was going to start it back up and I told them that I was not sure. They like to stay up until 4 am on the computer and sleep late into the day. I don't like them doing that because of a computer.

I probably could, but it might be difficult. Only because i am so used to having the internet. I love to read though, so if i didn't have internet then I would probably be doing a lot of that.

Considering that i sell stuff on the internet, no i dont think i could do without. I rent a basement apt. from my sons friend. A few times in since i've been here they negelicted to pay their bill. Even thought they would have it back on with 48 hr. I went ahead and got my own connection. Sometimes there would be just a loose wire on the back of the connevtion thin g to the main box. Which is upstairs and unavailable to me. Any ways i have my own now. My computer is much faster. My cam also works all the time now too. I wish you luck with getting yur internet again.

hello lienat:-) yes i understand how you feel. it can be boring without an internet coonection especially if you are used to it. more so if you have a blog to maintain or social networking sites to particpate in. I hope that you will get an internet connection . in the meantime, look at the postive side and cherish the extra time you now have for yourself and loved ones.

I feel the same way. I can't wait to get my own PC at home. I'll be spending hours on the net once that happens. I love to read as well and I once thought I could suffice with a good book but the net is it without a doubt. The more I interact like this the more needfull I become. Thank God for an employer who allows me to use his PC's this way. Thanks for sharing. I fully empathise!

Thanks. I'm still surveying which package of connection service I should take. And I'm quite use to surfing in the net now. But it's damn inconvenient to me!

I can...for a few days. The internet is my source of information, entertainment and so on so I really can't imagine being gone for too long without the net. If ever that happens, there's always the net cafe nearby :D

As far as living without the internet is concerned, I have done it for over a month and it has not been easy. I finally got connected two days ago and now I am trying to catch up. I was able to get on at the library to apply for jobs and check email, but I could do nothing else. When I had nothing to do, I just played the solitaire gamhes on the computer. I hope that you are able to get things going soon.

The only time I ever truly survive without the internet is when we go camping lol. But it has made my life sooo convenient it would take me soo much more time to do things that I can normally do in a minute. I'd have a lot less free time to do things I enjoy if I had no internet access. Good luck with your time being internet-less!
