I'm On A Roll

I've been going over my discussions and trying to catch up, and I've noticed something. I haven't made anyone cry over my last three discussions! WhooHoo! For awhile there I was making people cry all over the place and it was astounding me and breaking my heart. I don't write to make people cry - that's why I always try to put some humour in my more 'touching' discussions. So I'm on a roll! LOL I think I'll stick to my sparks tales and make you all laugh and live a twilight zone life vicariously through me instead. So no more touching, emotive, creative wordsmithing from the sparks. No more tears. Too many people are feeling the negativity here and leaving and I want to keep them here and happy! So what do you say? Will you miss the side of sparks that makes you cry?

There is nothing wrong with crying. crying means letting go. move on, getting it out. i know for me, i am grateful that i can read your stories and connect with you because i have felt what you felt one time or another. and because i read about you I was able to get it out, and move passed it. so if you gotta something to say, that may make some of us shed a tear or too, i want to say thank you

What a good point you make momma. Perhaps it's time for me to rethink my writing as a form of connecting and not just entertainment. You wise little woman you! Thank you for your very enlightening response!

I enjoy reading the touching and emotional discussions almost as much as the humorous and entertaining stories of your life. I am all for you continuing to give both accounts for as long as you are willing to share them with us.

Your recent bad luck streak of not making anyone cry has brought tears to my eyes.Let's face it;I have lost sleep over your reent failures. But chin up,bucko; we all have faith in you and believe that you WILL return to normal soon. I would hope the users of MyLot will take things with a grain of sand and realize it is still up to the individual as to what choice they make.Hearing an opinion positive or negative may make you think, but the reader still has a choice to accept or reject it.

Crocodile tears from you my friend! LOL And yes, I will probably return to normal soon, as I can't deny the need to write some 'good' stuff too. It's all well and good to laugh, but I have a serious side too like everyone else and it deserves the light of day as much as the other. And I do so agree with you that readers have choices - I just wish they choose a little more wisely sometimes in the wording of their responses when they disagree. There's no need, anywhere, to hurt people's feelings just because you can. Nice to see you lonewolf. Now do try not to lose anymore sleep. All failures can be turned into successes with enough creativity and humor!

I do not know what you are talking about! Crying because of what you wrote? I cry sometimes but it is not a bad thing, as it releases tension from our bodies and minds!

You're right olive - crying is not such a bad thing. In fact it can be a very healthy thing. Some of my friends have found some of the things I write very moving - emotionally, and it's brought them to tears, but not I don't think, tears of sadness. More like tears of just pure emotional reaction to my words. I consider that a high compliment, but at the same time I don't like to make people cry for any reason.- ok, maybe cry with joy! That would be good!

I'm all for more Sparks tales. They are fantastic! As for making people cry, well you can't be responsible for the actions of others. Plus I hate, I hate to be the one to break it to you all your entries are touching, emotive, creative wordsmithing! You have been gifted that way and we are blessed to be able to read it! I don't mind what you post as long as you keep posting it helps bring some sanity into my life!

Yes you certainly are very talented in the word department and it is anything but a waste of time sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. You bring a fresh sense of madness that helps make sense of this crazy world.

Well I'm gobsmacked Lou! I had no idea. 34momma told me pretty much the same thing and it made me think that no matter what I write, it touches someone - so I must be pretty good huh? LOL The point is, that it's nice to know that I can evoke as well as emote. That gives me confidence in my writing and that's a good thing! So I think I will just write whatever I'm moved to write and let the readers make up their own minds. How's that? lol And if my insanity is bringing sanity to YOUR life, then I am not wasting my time. How cool is that!

Sorry to burst your bubble my dear dear Sparks, but you did bring tears to my eyes with Mad Meg. I was so moved with the image of her turning that horse around and riding off in her dirty nightgown that it did touch some core with in me... Although the tears might not have flowed down my cheeks my eyes were clouded by the joy I think she was feeling in that moment.

Well damn! Foiled again! LOL But rather tears of joy and appreciation than sadness and pain, right? Apparently a number of people feel like you do Angel. So I'll just continue writing what the spirits move me to write and let the readers have whatever reaction they want. As long as no one starts throwing rotten tomatos, I'm happy! LOL

I missed your last three posts, so I'll have to look them up. Will I be crying? Were the posts sad or hurtful? If they were sad then I'll definitely be crying. If otherwise, probably not crying. As for whether or not I'll miss your other side. We'll see! LOL! I'm sure all your creative sides are typically amusing and delightful. Be well. Best of fun writing.

Hey my beauty, how are you? No my last three posts were definitely NOT tear jerkers! LOL Which is a switch from previous ones apparently. But it seems that my friends want to read whatever I write, so I'll just keep on doing what I've been doing and if some of you cry - well then I guess I've touched them in some way and that can't be a bad thing right?

That's a nice way to put it. I know that sometimes people can really get upset about some discussions and the comments show it. There is nothing wrong though it what your discussions is what you feel. I think that is what i like about this place. You can talk about anything and have people let you know what they think they will either agree or disagree just don't take it too heart. Have a nice one and keep creating discussions and commenting.

Nope - just the one! Seems a few people have been having posting problems today, so you're not alone there Hatley. It also seems the everyone wants to read whatever I write, which is so cool, so I'll just continue to be me and stop trying to be THE great American writer of the 21st Century! LOL

Absolutely, definitely, even though I don't always comment on your discussions! I think crying can be a good thing, whether we cry from joy, or from sorrow or grief it's part of human nature. And you can't mess with my mind enough to make me think I'm not human. ROFL
