They have a pool. After about an hour I pulled my kid out of the pool. She had sun screen on, but it has been in th 90'shere most of the week. The sun was out.So the kids didn't even get into the pool until 3pm. How long would you leave your children be in the pool?

I think that in extreme heat an hour is about enough. I maybe would let my son go back out a little bit later after he came in and cooled down and got out of the sun for awhile.

I know getting overheated is a concern. However, I don't ever remember anyone calling me inside when I was a kid because it was too hot. I don't know if I naturally hit shade or went in or if I was just lucky to have never passed out from the heat.

Not very long. I am pale skinned. My daughter would probably catch on fire if she was in the sun too long.

Well, probably after about a hour to hour half. Even with sunscreen on those uv rays are powerful and can still damage their young skin cause they are always wiping their faces and it also takes alot of the sunscreen off and then also some washes off in the water even if it says waterproof.

It all depends on if my child burns or tans very well as to how long I would leave them in there. My daughter sunburns the first time out for the year but then after that she tans. I would never leave a small child in for more than two hours though. It has been in the 90's here also and we got some sun the other day. We try not to overdo it either.

Well it would definately depend on what time of day it is. You know those UV rays are out from 10 - 2pm and cause more damage during those hour I believe. So around 3pm I would probably let my kids stay in the pool for an hour or two. My kids never end up wanting to stay in a pool that long anyhow. But yes, sunscreen is a must - no matter what time of day.
