Turning "Notify" on

I would like to be able to click on somehing that says "turn all friend notifications on" because if I had a notification each time one of my nearly 1,000 MyLot friends started a discussion, sorted into a separate in-box folder of course, I woudn't have to look so had for discussions. I don't like that I have to go through my entire friends section and click on each one to turn notifications on.
I think we should have an option in MyLot "Turn all notifications on/off" as well as "turn on/off indiidual notifications" That way we could still chose who we want notifications for, but if a member wants notifications for all, we would have that option.
I also think there needs to be a "search" feature so if we want to turn a specific notification on or off, we can find that friend without having to look too hard for them.
What do you think?

I already have a separate folder where all of my My Lot stuff goes and yes, I do have everyone turned on...I do not find it a difficult task though as everyone is now on and so I just have to goto my last page to turn on new ones...However, I do wish there an easier way of finding a certain friend when wanting to send PM's or put up personal comments.
As for having a difficult task to find discussions....I do9n't have this problem as before I had things set up the way I do now, I would just go to discussions my friends have started and work my way down the list...There is also Discussions with no responses and Discussions from my interest to try as well!

The problem I have is because of my eyesight, and somewhat poor hand-eye co-ordination. That's why going throuh 80 pages of friends is a tedious task for me.

I can see how frustrating that would be however I rarely use my friends list!
I use my E-Mail or my Home Page here on My Lot to get discussions I can respond to!

I haven't turned notification on . there will be a lot of mails in my inbox . which i won't be looking if there is a lot. i am active in mylot and is able to check all my friends discussions.
SO i haven't found that feature useful

Thanks for popping in with your opinion. I spend a lot of time on MyLot (I just hit my 10,000th post) so anything I can do to make the site more eficient will be helpful.

I would not need that option as each time I accept a new friend I always turn the notifier on. I keep my friends at an amount I am able to handle and too many would flood my emails.

I don't really know what I think about that one. TO be honest I Only have the notifications on for some people on my friends list. It's not because I favor ones over the others but I find that if I had all the notifications on I will never be able to catch on all the discussions and I would actually miss some that I know I would like to participate in.
I have on the friends that have discussions that tend to interest me most of the time as opposed to occasionally.
I still check discussions from my other friends, but I don't have the notifier on for them, just because it would be too many notifications.
As for the search feature, it might be a good idea although not necessarily for me. For me I would rather prefer to be able to set my friends list in alphabetical order. That would help me find who I wanted faster.

That would be a great feature! I can tell you when I went to turn all of my notifies on, I would have loved that feature. It takes so long to turn them all on. Good idea!

I have some notifications on, most are off.
I have some days when I have time to respond and some days when I am away.
I wouldn't be able to respond to all discussions.
Plus, I respond only to discussions that I feel I want to respond, not because it is from my friends.

ops, yes, it be nice choice to have an option.
I remember when I used to have notification on for all.
It took me over one hour to turn it off when I was leaving for Europe.

I would and the reason is when you want to easily turn them all off and on at once. This is quicker, as many of us have been away for a few days and come back to see an over full mail box, if we didn't turn them off before we left. I have been away for a day and come back to find a big problem. Now I have only some of them on so I can go away and not have troubles. This means many people are being missed by me, as some people post a lot of discussions.

yea,i wish we had multiple on/off too.this one at a time stuff is for the birds.even alphabetical order would be better,becuase if we had to look them up,we could at least have a reasonable guess what page they're on.
