She's coming home tomorrow!! We were all told sometime early next week but it's now tomorrow!! This is so surreal!! I cleaned my whole house today and was going to clean hers tomorrow and well, still am but gosh didn't expect her to come home before I got her house cleaned up!! It's not dirty but I just wanted her to come home to a cleaned clean house. lol I hope that made sense to you!! lol
I know, I'm babbling!! I'm just so excited and shocked!! Whew!!
Ok now, to let you all know, I'll be gone for the next week or two if not more so I might not be able to come in as often but I'll show myself some how and then be gone for a while because I'm staying with my parents to help mom till she's stable on her feet again. She'll always have dizzy moments for the rest of her life but she'll have to learn to get used to them but with my help so she won't fall and hurt herself. The point is, I'll be back sooner or later!! lol
Thanks again to all of you for all your prayers, good thoughts and support!! Thanks so much!!

Oh Cats, this is great news and don't stress over not getting the house cleaned clean! LOL I understood exactly what you meant!
Check in with us as soon as you can and hopefully the transition to home will go smoothly. As always, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs.

Hi Spark... there's a change in plans. Mom couldn't come home today afterall because the dumb a$$ medical staff can't find a surgeon to take out the feeding tube till Monday or Tuesday. Poor mom cried and cried. She's nothing but a dang pay check to these jerks. It's really sad how the medical community has gone far to the way side. She wants to come home so bad that they just dangle it in front of her face and then take it away. What low lifes they are! ARG!!

Hospitals are a business now these days sweets. Patients are a source of income now, not individuals in need of caring and compassion. Sad isn't it? But take heart, Monday will be here soon enough. I've just emailed you, so smile! LOL Hugs and much much love.

Well it seems there may be a change of plans. The stupid idiots can't find a surgeon to take out the feeding tube until Monday or Tuesday. I haven't talked to mom yet but I can only imagine she's livid and upset. We all feel that she's nothing but a paycheck to these lazy idiots who work the medical profession. I'm so angry and angry for mom but what can a person do, right?

You would not believe how happy and excited I am about this. It just proves that God can take a situation where there seems to be no hope and completely turn to around for the better. I do not believe that I would be able to contain my excitement. I am very happy for you, your mom, and your entire family. I also know what you mean about freshening up a clean house.

How fantastic, I am so pleased for you I do not have the words to tell you! I can imagine how excited you all must be, and your Mum well she must just be over the moon. I am pretty sure that this will be the best medicine for her although tell her that she still has to take it easy.
I know what Mums are like for trying to get back on their feet too quickly and so she must not no matter how much she does. I am so glad I just really am, give her my best wishes, even though she has not got a clue who I am!

Oh, that's fantastic news to hear...I was reading down a bit though and you mentioned how they won't have a surgeon to remove the feeding tube until Monday or Tuesday...that's kind of dumb...they should at least keep her there until she does get it removed...that means she actually has to trek back to get it removed...how dumb!
Oh, well...I bet she's practically doing a jig though at the thought of finally coming home..gosh...how long was she there anyway?

Actually no, the trech was removed a week ago and it's all healed. All she has now that's keeping her there is the darned feeding tube that's through her belly. It takes only 5 minutes to take it out, the lazy bas***** couldn't find the time!! Cold and unfeeling no counts is what they are.
Between the two hospitals she's been in for 47 days as of today. Sucks but she'll be home soon and we all know it but dang, the medical profession has gone far to the wayside. What a shame.

Thanks but this was a month ago and she's since fallen and broken a rib and fractured her pelvis. She's in rehab right now about to return home on Wednesday in hopes to continue her rehabilitation and get stronger to have kidney surgery. Seems never ending. Yes she knows I clean just as good or better than her now since she's gotten up in age, especially now since she's had an awful stroke.

That's fantastic news.
I hope her convalescence goes well.
The advice we carers give our 'old ladies and gents' but which I 'forget' myself (Both my daughter and I have vertigo) is to change position slowly. Getting out of bed she should spend a few minutes sitting upright on the edge before standing, or if rising from a chair should do it slowly.
Try and remember to 'slow down' occassionally yourself, Yes, a clean house is nice but not at the cost of your own health. I really worry that you'll burn yourself out with all the running around you've been doing.
Give your Mum a big hug from us all and take a really big hug for yourself!
