All you animal lovers, be careful. We had a very rare case where a man who loved his dog to the extent that he even slept with him on the same bed, and used to cuddle and kiss him. He came out in rash at one point, which turned out to be so bad that that his fingers and toes had to be amputed. Doctors have warned to have all the necessary vaccines of all infections in that locality to be given to the dogs, so as not to suffer the same fate as that poor man. His love was his downfall.

wow this is a really interesting piece of news. I'm really curious about what happened. How does rash cause the man to lose his fingers and toes? The rash might be an allergic reaction but to lose fingers and toe? Also I'm not too sure if there is anything at all that can be passed from dog to human. As the make up of these two species are very different, viruses that can affect one is unlikely to affect the other. Would it be possible to get more information on this? I sleep with my cats and they go everywhere at home, including the dining table. If there is anything to watch out for it'll be good to know. Cheers ;)

Actually i am not very sure what causes these allergies. One just has to be careful. Recently even my aunt had very bad case of cat allergy, that too after ages of having cats and nothing happening. So, one never knows. It is best to keep pets outdoors as much as possible.

That is awful. We take our dog every year for his annual shots. Our dog sleeps with us also. We love and kiss on him all of the time too. I sure would hate to get a rash and have some of my body parts amputated also. It is better for us to take care of ourselves and our pets too.
