Do you recoginze mylotters by Name or by Avatar??

I have noticed that not mylotter's dont often change their Avatar. That made me think, if we recognize our fellow myloters by their names or their avatars. I think we get so used to seeing the avatar that when we change it, it feels odd. I had changed my avatar 3 times and then i came back to the old one as i felt something was missing from above my name!! Yes ofcourse that would be my avatar.
I dont know if you have every felt this way after changing the avatar, but i did.
So, tell me is it the avatar OR the Name that helps you remember myLotters???

I check both but I think it is the name more so. They tend to be different, I try to guess what it means. For instance my name - laglen - first two letters of my first name and first four letters of my last name. This has been my user name online for about 10 years!

Now i have started to think that unknowingly we all actually try to assotiate the name and the avatar and that is what makes us think about the actual mylotter. The name is important as the avatar! But for me too, i look at the name first so that mylotters have the freedom to change their avatar whenever they want to.

I actually find it easier to remember their name then their avatar, although some of them will I remember their picture more and that depends on which one stand out more of both of these things and I would want to know if mylotter remember my picture or my name too lol

I have realised that it is both the name and the avatar that i remember now-a -days. It is always nice to remember a mylotter by name , so that they feel free to change their avatar whenever the want to without thinking if other mylotters would recognize them or not!!

I tend to look at the picture first. But when they change the avatar, I have to look at the name and get familiar with their new picture.
Some people's avatars I just love! I would hate it if they changed it.

I have started to remember mylotters with the avatar as well as their names! So that they all feel free to change their avatars whenever they want to. It is true though that it is the avatars that catch our attention first :)

i recognise the people here by their names more than their avatars... avatars can change every now and then... but names always stay the same... so it is easier to remember them by their names... it is more personal as well according to my opinion... take care and have a nice day...

I useally go by avatar for that's the easiest for me. A couple of my friends have changed their avatars but I reconize the name as well even if they change their avatar. So I guess it goes both ways for me. The ones that are active the most are the ones I can do this with. Others that aren't as active I have to just go by avatar and or look to see in my friends list who they are for I may forget.

i often look for the name to identify the mylotters.
but if the avtar is so interesting i will rememberthe avatar.
i will remember you by name.

i think that i remember some by name and some others by avatars and also the fact that i my self do not have a avatar on my profile.
then soon i will be adding one and see if more people remember me and respond me.. also the profile seems a bit incomplete without a avatar.

It's funny that you mention this because I was just thinking a few minutes ago about this. I was looking at some responses and I was like 'I've read something by them before..' I tend to notice the avatars more often. A lot of people on here have cool ones. I'm sure that mine has been recognized by heart by at least ten people by now. I haven't seen anyone else with a Southpark character they created.

I usually recognized mylotters with their usernames especially those I bumped most often, but the avatar helps alot for recognition too. I used to changed my avatar from time to time, depending on my mood :D but I guess if I would come to a point of a final choice I would stick to that one. Usernames, couldnt be changed (unless one will create a new account) eventually, one will recognize them by names they used here.

I think I do a little of both. I generally recognise people by their name if it's not too abstract and I associate their avatar with them. I usually look for the avatar first though. Every once in a while I'll see an avatar I don't recognise only to discover that it belongs to a mylot user that I do.
