hello,
i am not sure if it's me or you happen to notice it as well.
anyway, since last months roller coaster here in mylot seems like a lot of members in my list is not that active anymore. i sure missed reading and posting to their discussion and it is pretty sad knowing i dont see them anymore.
i know one here told me that it is because of the sad "trolls" story so they are cutting their time out here and i am not sure about the others.
i wonder...
if they find a job,
if they are having a hard time at home or in life,
if they find a new site to be part of
OR
they just dont feel like being in mylot anymore.
i know i am not as active as i used to be here coz i am doing some other things and that i am not having good ideas coming out in my big head LOL so im kinda taking it more slowly than i am already is out here.
how about you?
do you wonder the same way i do OR you were told before hand that they are not gonna be in mylot for now or for good.
would love to hear your story and thanks for your time.

Hi jairgirl, I've noticed quite a few have dropped off the radar, and I've wondered whether they've just got a bit bored with the whole setup. I know there have been periods where I log in, have a look around without finding anything interesting and log straight out again. I know at the start of the year, I just couldn't get motivated to do any mylotting, and I just wasn't having fun on here. I think a lot has to do with what discussions are being posted, as well as responses. It's nice to get replies to responses so you know your input is being acknowledged. Of course, there are still people on mylot who can put a 'smile on your dial', I think I know a few, jairgirl, and that is more what I'm here for, to have fun, not make heaps of money!

I still go through times like that, where I think I'm going to mylot, then I sit down in front of the computer and then can't be bothered. I do like the 'back and forth' on mylot, rather than putting in a response and that being the end of a discussion.
I don't set any goals for mylot, I just check it out and if there's something there that i feel I want to add to, then I will. I certainly don't have any monetary goals, otherwise I'd probably be starting a lot of silly, pointless discussions and answering every post I come to, but that's not really me.
Ok, now you know why I'm getting a little senile, but I still love Spongebob and co, so I'm still young at heart, LOL.

that is great that you are not for anything here other than be part of the discussion which is cool coz i enjoy it too, i have a tendency to be depress coz i dont have anybody here other than my hubby and our pets (dog, turtle and gold fishes) all my neighbors seems to be so busy in their lives so i rarely see them not be able to chat with them - i guess i am not that friendly.
im happy though that mylot can amuse me in so many ways and that is the best part i guess beside the earning part. i finally reach my goal so i will be using that next month for our anniversary - my hubby dont mention anything about it so who knows what will gonna happen. oh well, if he dont come up with something he will be in trouble - a wonderful trouble if he say.

yes, end of last month as well as this month i am not as motivated as i used to so i end up being here at least 15 minutes in a day and for 3 days now i seem to spend an hour again coz i am trying to reach some goal and try to relax my mind at the same time.
now you make me look at your profile coz i dont know much about you other than you live down under hehe.
now i found out you've been here for a year now, your concern about aging (duh!) and you like sponge bob,, ai ai captain LOL
i love it too coz they are just so cute haha
anyway, yes some discussion seems to be a repeat to me and i look for more that i can learn, i know there are some informative topics out here but it is very rare now or i am just not having enough time to really look around.
YES, it is nice to get responses coz you know they are relating with you and you can learn from them as well.
LOL, there are still people on mylot who can put a 'smile on your dial'
thought that was you.... maybe it's the boo boo hahaha

I'm not sure what you mean by "last month's roller coaster". I obviously missed something by not coming in here since late April or early May. I hope to be more active now that I have internet at home. Talk to you later.

thanks for being here.
to give you a brief update, late april and most of the month of May there are a lot of discussion being deleted and there are so many members here who lost points, earnings and their star rating goes down like crazy and that hurts them a lot, i have read a lot of post/discussion for that matter that they are not coming back to mylot coz of that and they feel that their work is no longer appreciated and some other wordings that i know affect them completely.
June is much better, it doesnt seem that there is another part of the roller coaster coz i dont see a lot of discussion regarding that matter.
anyway, i hope to see more of you and may you reach your goal this month though it seem late (like the way i feel to mine) still i am wishing you.

yeah, you can put it that way. i have read that it was like that even 2 years ago so i guess it comes and goes - just looking and waiting for the right time LOL
i am happy that you are back home now and you dont have to put up with all the stuff that happens there.

Hello jairgirl, I have many friends in my list and I can only count those whom I've been seeing regularly, I just assume that they have a job already or on vacation or maybe busy from other sites. ANyway, I had also to cut off my time spend here for some responsibility but being totally absent here is something I can't do this time..I love Mylot!LOL!

thanks for being here and for sharing your experience when it comes to friends in mylot.
i dont know much about my list out here other than the ones i can read from their profile or base on what they post then i can get an idea on what they do in life.
i am doing the same and may lessen it more since the electric bill will add some maybe next month and i have to make sure that i am only spending enough time to do other things on the net.

I know a numberof my friends have been hurt by some
malicious poster who responds with nasty words and
hurtful phrases so perhaps yes they have decided to
leave which makes me feel very sad as the malicious
ones will have won in that case.

thanks for sharing your experience here. yes i know that there are some that is very hurt because of what had happened here.
i read somewhere in the net today about an ex member here who gets really upset in mylot coz she thinks mylot just let the situation get worst and worst and in the end it was her who is boot out, which i feel is not fair and im sure she is not alone as i heard in the past few months that it does happen to few out here.

I have noticed this also that alot of people are not on as much like befor when they would have alot of discussions. I just see it that they have other things they want to do and need a break for a while from here that's understandable. One of my friends that I had on my friends list left for good for she was done with the trouble here and I know I was sad to see her go for she had some good discussions. Friends come and go and there's really nothing we can do about this but hope they decied to come back.

sorry to hear about your friend, i cant blame her coz i know there are others who feels the same way and leave mylot for the same reason.
yes, members here comes and goes and when they are gone it is never the same anymore specially if they are the ones who can really make a good discussion out here and give a lot of information not only to the new comers but as well as the rest of the members out here.
i understand that we all have life to carry on and i am happy to know and hear from other members that i am missing that they just found a job or got busy at work so they are no longer here as much as they want to and that makes me happy coz i know they are doing something they love and will help them earn a much decent money.

well i was away for like four days because i went home. i spend time with my parents and too bad there was no internet connection in my parent's area. :( anyway, i had though and miss mylot a lot. before i went home, i was so slow here. well maybe because i was getting bored and don't feel like sharing my opinion here but now, i'm spending my time here since i arrive in my apartment today. hehehe..

Ya my friend, i have noticed too.my best friends in mylot logged in 2-3 months ago.they were very active here.also most of my friends are now absent these days.eventhough its population is increasing, it also increasing the inactive members.

sorry to hear about your best friend, it is saddening to see active members be gone or spend less time out here, yeah there are so many new comers but it seems that the daily mylot digest is not that much anymore as it seems like a repeat at times.
i hope your best friend comes back again, what is the reason of that? is it because of the up and down ratings?

great to know that you are sticking with mylot in goodness and in bad...
yes, sometimes mylot can burn you out specially if you will post a lot in a day or start that much discussion in a day and then respond to those who leave their comments haha.
i dont post much out here lately as i dont seem to have better ideas what to write, i try to respond though as much as i can to my friend list's discussion so they can feel that i care about their post, it's just that i am getting so much on my inbox and i am limiting my time out here so i can do some other things.
oh well, that's life.
i wish you all the best out here in mylot and hope mylot will be online for as long as there is a member like you.

i have also seen that. it seems many are just not here to spend time. may be there are many reasons. most of them must have got some better sites to earn. many may be very busy with life. I have also become busy with work so not that much active now.

great to see you, i am glad that you are just busy at work that is why you are not that active out here coz i remember you are hurt when the trolls attack and your star ratings went down in just a matter of day.
glad to see you are 8 now and hopefully it will be back to normal again.
im sure despite all those ups and downs you still know that it is just a number and doesnt measure you and your activeness here.
i dont see much discussion coming from you but i understand as i am the same coz i am trying to do other stuff and not just mylot.

I have a lot of MIAs here as well...people whom I haven't seen in ages and it does make me feel sad when I don't see them anymore...sometimes out of the blue after a long, long time they might show up again. I do know for a fact someonesmom a dear friend of mine has been missing, a relative of hers emailed me to tell me someonesmom has been having all kinds of computer problems...so I hope she gets her computer fixed real soon...miss seeing and hearing from her--actually a LOT of my friends have been having computer problems of sorts

thanks for the response, i am glad to know that there are some members here that keep you updated on how the other friend's are doing at least you dont have to wonder around like most does.
i have read in the past month that some members are having problems with their computer and i have read others asking for help and websites to help them figure out the problem.
i hope they fix their computer soon so they can be back to their normal computer routine. i know it is frustrating knowing you have to figure it out coz sometimes it is not really the hardware but the software itself.
something that i am very grateful about mac coz they are less likely to crash.

well, actually ive been gone for almost a week. i have been very busy with work. and i feel really bad with not logging into mylot the past few days. i realized it is hard to forget something that you used to do a lot and has been part of your daily routines. but now im back and im hoping to stay longer now. much longer and for good. but don't worry im not transferring to another site. in fact i still find mylot very enjoying.

yes mylot for most is like a family and daily lives so it is hard to just leave it behind, except of course to those that is hurt by it in a way.
btw, thanks for informing me that the reason you are not that active here is because of work - i like to know the reasons behind being absent to mylot and work is one of those.

yes, i notice it also. a friend of mine here said that she don't get time to be on mylot since she have a new job as a co-author in some blogs. well, i'm happy to hear that though i miss her. she always starts interesting discussions and comments her responders nicely.

hey, i happen to notice it. i am sorry to hear that. for us who often use internet, we should prepare for such kind of unexpected things. for example, we can copy our friends' information in a file in our computer to prepare such things.

unfortunately most of the members i have in my list is not really that close friends per se in my case, i dont know much about them and they dont know much about me.
it is not yet in a case that most people her let others know their true identity coz it is not safe specially over the net except of course if you already have a friendship that is beyond the net.
also, if you check profiles here it doesnt give much information about that person and the only way you can message them is through PM and we dont know if they can get it or not coz some users are no longer welcomed in mylot.
anyway. appreciate the suggestion.
hope you are earning a lot of good friends out here.

I just joined yesterday!! I love the thought of making money by making discussions and posting responses on other people's discussions. Maybe they've finally got 'life' or grown out of this kind of things... Well I joined mylot becuase I don't live in USA but I want to get things for my game. Although I think there are still lots of people active on mylot

i hope you enjoy your times out here and hope you stayed here for as long as you wanted.
true, some members here find a job or so busy at work or dont have an internet (as you know there are calamities out here so they dont have electricity or home at the moment) and some other reasons.
i am glad that you found mylot, it will surely serves its purpose to you if you want to earn some money, it is not a lot but if you know how to work your way out here you will earn a better amount compared to others.
just keep posting but be wise as it is important to have quality post to earn better and just keep your goal.
