A question about falling asleep

When you go to bed for the night and you close your eyes in preparation of falling asleep, what do you see? When I close my eyes at night, I see faces of people. Some I know in real life, some are celebrities and some are people I have no memory of ever having seen. Sometimes in the midst of all these faces I also see a flash of bright, colored lights. So, it makes me wonder what others "see" when they close their eyes at night. What say you?

I have trouble falling asleep at night, so after I've finished tossing and turning and trying to find the sweet spot that makes my back stop hurting too much, I think about the stories, poems, books, articles and whatever else I'm writing. I always have a lot of them on the go at one time! LOL So by the time I close my eyes I'm actually looking at a kaleidoscope of characters, word groupings, and the other elements of my writing. I end up falling asleep dreaming of them all! I have very busy dreams! LOL

Oh I got rid of the 'cuddle' problem by sending it to live in the RV! LOL So now when I find that sweet spot I don't leave it! ROFL

You probably fall asleep thinking of things here on mylot and comments you should be making LOL When your back hurts, it is hard sometimes to find that sweet spot, I know! Usually when I find it, that's when my wife rolls over to snuggle and I have to look for it again LOL

I can't see anything when I closed my eye, just mostly will go into dream, even I'm not yet sleep. But I can always heard some sound (from my brain) when there is very quiet.

A woman by the seaside sounds like a peaceful image :)

I for the most part re hash my day and what happened, or whatever pops into my mind, sometimes I have worries on my mind, and I try to imagine the outcome of them by thinking about different ways I will handle it, and if I've really had a bad day, I imagine I won the lottery and think about all the ways I will spend my millions.

That's a very deep and insightful question! Last night I had trouble sleeping and ended up replaying a TV episode in my head. It worked to put me to sleep.

It probably sounds really corny but when I go to sleep at night I see my boyfriend. He lives really far away from me at the moment and I miss him. It makes me smile and helps me have better dreams.

I always fall asleep listening to some interesting documentary, or other, on the BBC World Service, so often I fall asleep picturing what they are talking about it, and if I fall asleep before the documentary is over, I tend to dream what I am hearing, till the show changes to something else, hen I dream that.

I like listening to the BBC, but I never have fallen asleep that way :) Since it is the news, you must have some unusual dreams LOL

I often think about my past. I think about the things that have caused me pain. That subject is really draining for me. But I also like to think about the future and what's to come. I like imagining that I'm somebody else.

Don't let the past get you down too much, what's done is done. When I am laying there thinking, I like to think about what I would do if I won the lottery :)
