Well, it hardly needs a 'best before' because, let's face it, Spam has never been best - not before, not after, not EVER !! No-one's gonna eat it anyway - they just mend shoes with it or put it in the Harvest baskets. We could start a list of 'Uses for Spam' - slice it and use it as coasters .... sculpt with it (I'm sure someone would pay some ridiculous amount for it in an 'Emperors new clothes' art appreciation moment) ....

i have no idea if they consider it as their fruitcake! LOL! but i HAVE seen decorated boxes (huge bows, several layers of special wrapping paper and the like) filled with spam in a Korean magazine once. it was kinda cute. hahaha!

That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. Though, I'm not at all surprised. Who doesn't need a good glop of gooey canned meat on occasion? Happy eats!

The spam is in an air tight can. It wouldn't start to expire or go bad until it is opened.

i wonder what would happen if the can starts to rust or something.. if that kind of can can rust?? i dunno i havent bought any since i became an adult and dont plan on it lol.. makes you wonder why other things in cans or air tight things have exp dates.. hmm

That stuff withstands wars,LOL. Are you sure it doesn't have a code on it in letters and numbers that don't look like a date but actually are their code for a date? I know some products do it that way. Yes if that is the case, it is kind of disturbing. Put a can in a time capsule to be opened in 20 years and see how it looks then.
