i have once seen a tv show where presented lucky cases of people who have had brain damages and that made them use one emisphere more intensively than the other,so they started having more qualities, like writing poems, painting, calculating as accurately as a calculator, technical drawing and others. they were called the geniuses i think.. or something like that. it did affect them in a bad way also,i think.. one guy have been dumped by his wife ,as she got scared in time, when he started painting all the walls in their house, and even the sealing. i think everything that isn't according to what we call normal,we think of it as being madness and i am not sure how right we are to do that.
and also,i heard that Einstein used to have a very low iq as a kid,he was even bad in school, but after he got a job where he had to work with lots of images and signs daily his brain developed very much. i can't be sure of the truth but i think he wasn't a genius untill a quite mature age.
so maybe we can become geniuses in time,or it can also depend on our brain's possibilities of addaptment and learning...who knows

I think intelligence is a gift from God. Alot of people are very quick learners though. Some people seek to learn more and they fill themselves up with knowledge. That will eventually make them very intelligent. they may not be on the genius level though.
