Do you clean your own house or apartment or does someone do it for you? And if someone else who? I clean my own house because i think it is cheaper that way. What about you?

I tidy up, and my man vacuums, cleans and dusts. The laundry we do together. We do not want to waste money on someone doing the work. It's not that much work really

Yes he is pretty good:-) Most of our friends in our generation share the household chores, and other work that needs to be done. It is pretty good. Although statistics show women still spend more hours doing work at home than their men we are getting there.

O.K. then it's a cultural thing that has been passed down, that is a good thing. Some men i have observed are down right lazy, But some are stepping up to the plate. I wish the world can produce more like that.

Hello jessieBee. Usually in my apartment, we three people do the cleaning job respectively. I love the labor division among my son, my wife and me. I go to the grocery market in the morning and wash it. Then my wife cooks. My son does the mopping job and washes the bowls and plates after lunch. And sometimes my wife washes the dishes and bowls and plates after supper. Each of us has a different cleaning job at home.

I clean my own apt, I don't think I could let somebody else do it because I like it a certain way. Now if somebody did it as a favor for me I wouldn't complain.

I understand you clearly, you would like to know where to find things when your looking for it. People who clean for you put things away differently from how you do it.

Me. Not because it's just cheaper but also because there is no need for anyone else to do it. It's like I'm allowing a complete stranger into my home while I'm in it and well, cleaning it myself is exercise! ^.^

Right now my hubby and I share in the cleaning of our apartment. I must say that it is not always totally clean, but has a reasonable level of cleanliness and hygenie that we can endure haha. yes it is always cheaper to clean your own house in absolute terms. but sometimes especially in my country, what people think is that life is too short to be spent doing housework. so they'd rather pay, say 300 USD a month, to hire a live-in domestic helper to do all the house hold chores, and perhaps help to look after their children as well. So they have valued their free time more than the money it would cost to hire someone to clean the house.

It's good to know that the kids pitch in as young as they might be. Tidiness starts at home, your teaching them responsibility. Thanks for your comment.

Right now I clean my own house, with the help of my family. But I absolutely HATE housework. It is the bane of my existence LOL. It is my fondest desire to be able to afford a housekeeper. So far, no luck. I don't mind cooking or even so much the laundry, but I would love someone else to do the cleaning. Dream on huh?

I wish I could afford to have someone clean my place once a week! :) I clean my own place...have been slacking since I was pregnant and now have an infant. I need to do some major "spring cleaning". I want to say that it's about $100 an hour to have a maid come into your house and clean it for you these days...not too sure on it but that's what I have heard. I don't have that kind of money.

Well i don't think it the end of the end if you can't afford to hirer. cleaning can be fun at times. Why don't you try playing some music when your cleaning.

I clean my own house too, sometimes I wish I could have someone do it for me, but I would feel the need to clean before they even came it. Sort of defeats the whole purpose. I try to get my husband and children to help out, but what they will actually do is always the least that they can get away with doing. It's a never ending battle, but one I am comfortable doing myself.

Hi cindy, it's nice to know that you are contented with doing it on your own. Keep up the good work, I'm sure when mother's day is near your kids and husband do even more cleaning for you than that. You know special occasion

Me, only me - arrgghhh! I have nothing against washing, ironing, cooking, dishes etc. etc. but cleaning is something I really HATE! As soon as I can afford it I'll hire somebody else to do it - and I even know whom! (Three exclamation marks in one response - there really is a FEELING in LOL)

I myself don't mind the washing and other stuff, but something about cleaning just turns my mind off of doing it. But me na...h I won't hirer help, i don't like giving people money for things i can get done myself.

We clean our own house. We could use some outside help I think but we don't have the money to pay someone for all the cleaning work that needs done here. So we just do it but I wish I had help. Free help would be nice but I don't see that happening any time soon, haha.

Yeah sometimes i wish we had help also, you know someone to come in a few days a week. But ask for free help... that's not going to happen in a million years. People don't ever do something for nothing. It's always about what are you going to give me in return. Thank you for your comment.

We have our help that cleans our house. As much as I would like to clean even just my own room, I can't cos I have allergies to dust and fibers from dirt. I can sneeze all day and have clogged nose when I do the cleaning.

I have found the joy of casual cleaning and having a cleaning company come in twice per month. They come in and I pay about the same as I would pay for lawn care. try http://www.melawil.com
