Or actually any barns but old barns with tin roofs are the best. When we were kids if it rained we would beg to sleep in the hay loft were we could tell ghost stories then drift off to sleep listening to the rain tapping on the tin roof. Check out this barn http://www.countrywhispers.com/oldbarn/ what do you think? xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

I like ruins. I don't care if they are old Greek temples, old castles on some German peak, or an old falling down barn on the side of a highway. I like ruins. I try to imagine what it looks like inside, what the people used to do before it was a ruin, and all kinds of other things, like if I could set a story in it. I remember driving too and from my college in Denton Texas and just about Hillsboro was a falling down barn. It was many years later I drove back that way again and it had fallen. Now it is gone, but I can still see it in my mind's eye.

I like the barn that you had the link too. It's very pretty. I like barns too, new, old, in between. Now I admit that I especially like them if they are horse barns and full of horses but old barns are very cool too and fun to explore. I like the sound of rain on a tin roof too. Dare I admit that I once lived in a mobile home and the awning was tin and when it rained, I would open the sliding glass door just to hear the rain coming down and to smell the rain. Ok, guess I just crossed the line into weird but I do actually miss that aspect of the old mobile home. Old houses are great but can't hear the raindrop music!

That sure is a special ole barn. I liked the toe tapping music that went along with it. My house has a metal roof, it is nice to hear the rain tapping on it and drifting off the sleep.

I love old barns because they remind me of the good old days when i would go out with my Grandmother on her Avon route WAY out in the country. She would tell me about every old barn we passed (and there was a lot of them)from when she was a child.
