Mobile charger - mobile charger...

I used to put my cell phone charger, when ever i found the battery low signal from my mobile or, when the batter shows the single step on my mobile.. and also when ever i am going out for the long distance, where i can espect more calls, (ie., usages of mobile is more) where i cannot able to put the recharge in those places, i will make my mobile in full charge, even it shows half of batter is available, I will put the same in charger and make it full and bring my mobile. But i never put it always in the charger when ever it is not in use.. Because i found some of the people, having the habit of the mobile in the charger in the whole night on every day, and also put it in the charger when ever it is not in use.. and even when ever the time permits, and where ever they found the opportunity to put the mobile in charger, they used to put the mobile in the charger and make it charge the mobile and keep the mobile batter always in FULL. What is your habit.. Will you put you mobile always in the charger or..??? Post your comments..

Phone chargers today (originals that is) have sensors and could never overcharge or harm you mobile devices (that is what is written in the manuals). But you are right to charge your phone if the battery is low or you only have one bar left showing on the battery meter. Buy extra batteries so you have a spare when you go out.

I think you pretty much hit it pretty accurately. You should only recharge your phone when the battery is low or you're planning on being somewhere for a long period of time where you wont have access to your charger. Recharging your phone at just any time you get the chance is just silly, and of course. Wasteful when it comes to electricity. I don't think people realize how if they stopped doing stupid simple things like that, what they could save on their electricity bill!

I have the palm treo smartphone and it uses up the battery quite a bit, depending on how much I am using it for calls, email, internet, text messages, etc. I charge it every night b/c of this. I use it alot to get work done and keep in touch with people. I don't mind charging it every night. It's not like it's difficult to do. And for my phone, the manual says that the life of the battery is longer when you don't let the charge completely die.

Hi Mate... Most cellphones use Nickel Cadmium Batteries, denoted by 'Ni Mh' sign on your battery pack.. now the property of a Ni Mh battery is such that the battery weakens with the above mentioned practice.. It is adviced that your battery be totally drained and switches off before you recharge it.. Unless it is an emergency. And you must recharge it fully.. and it is harmful if you keep it charging well after the charging is over.. like when you keep it to charge overnight.. I got this info from the user manual of my Nokia 6300... http://webtechnow.blogspot.com

i do charge my mobile phone always especially when the battery is down. once the battery is full, i will then remove it from the power source to prevent weakening the cells of the battery. most mobile phones can be activate instantly to increase the charge in the cells is there is no power available.

I usually put my mobile phone on charger for 2 - 3 hours when I am at home. I will check whether it is charged full before going to long distance travel or going out for a full day. If charge the mobile for long hours, especially through out night, it will affect the battery life.

No, I charge my cellphone battery only when it's almost or totally drained. Unconsciously, maybe I acquired this habit from using radio transceivers in the past. There is this thing about 'battery memory effect' which I remember reading from an article about radios and radio batteries. According to that article, to get the most out of the battery, refrain from charging until it is totally drained. Otherwise, the battery will only recognize that fraction which is drained and recharged. To illustrate, say the battery is only 75% drained and you recharged it, it will eventually result to that 75% being recognized as the 100% charge capacity of the battery. Although I am not 100% sure as to the reliability of the source of that article, I practically followed it then and I never had problems with my radio batteries. Now, I practice the same thing on my cellphone battery. I even no longer need a separate charger for I only have to connect my cellphone to my PC using its USB cable to recharge. I prefer it this way since there is lesser chances of forgetting and overcharging the battery. (Overcharging may lead to battery and even cellphone damage.) I recharge every other day with the cellphone on. At times that I have to go out and I need to recharge faster, I simply turn off the cellphone. Several times, I have seen friends encounter problems with their cellphone batteries right in the middle of an important call. I'm thankful that my style works out very fine for me. I'm glad, I still don't know how it is like to be in their shoes yet. :-)

I use my cellphone as everyone do. I have to attend my calls from my clients and I also have to make calls to other people. So its very important for me to Charge my cellphone as much as possible. Once I left my cellphone to the Charger and I have later realized that the battery has been badly effected due to this and its charging capacity has been reduced. Hence I never leaved my cellphone to the charger again. Its precautionary to unplug the mobiles from chargers after fully charged.

I normally just wait till my cell shows only 2 bars battery then I plug it in because I am afraid if I don't charge it then, it will die on my latter.

I only charge my phone when the battery is getting low. Even then I usually forget! So I started carrying the charger plug in my purse. Then when I am away from home, working, and the battery runs out, I can just plug it in there and charge it up.

I give my mobile for charging when i find low battery or in night after coming back from office. I do charge for 1 to 2 hours till i get full charge indication so that i can use my mobile next day without in problems. I particulary don't make or receive any call when i put my mobile for charging. It is not even suggested to do that.

Hi,it is a topic valuable to discuss. Almost every one now hold a mobile phone,it's very important to our life. But the shortage is the battery, usually a battery can last about no more than three days, even one day,if we have many phone issues. As for me,i don't shut my phone any time, you can connect me even at midnight. When i'am outside, the battery should be enough,i will not take with the mobile charger. I always charge the battery in the night, and bring the mobile with high battery during the day.If i have three or longer days off for a travel,i will take the charger, otherwise my phone will go to sleep, and i will lose connection with my friends.
