hi, buddies, have u ever cheated during an exam? coz i'm an esl teacher, i do know that lots of students cheat during the exam, they may look at their neighbor's answer secretly, or hide some answers in their pockets, sleeves, or somwwhere else, or passing answers by cellphones, u know cellphones nowadays have an e-dictionary function. i wonder whether u've cheated during an exam, say in primary school, secondary, high, or college. lol please tell us ur story. how did u feel when u were cheating? if u r a teacher, what r ur attitudes towards cheating? if u r a parent, what r ur attitudes towards cheating? if u r a student, what r ur attitudes towards cheating?

Cheating is the worst part of the exams is what i think.. When a Student cheats in exam then he cheats his life, they were given a exact date to be prepared and show their skills, but still students cheat! I am also a student, i cheated seriously just once in my life, when the result was out i found out that i scored very good marks, but i was not satisfied, from that day i stopped cheating and am doing all the stuff by myself.. What will one do if you are alone in life? You cannot cheat from some one else's life.... so, i prefer the cheatings to be stopped!!

i love ur sentence "what will one do if u r alone in life, u can't cheat from someone else's life" yeah, we can't live by cheating, once is enough, no twice or trice please. i once cheated, actually it's not a real cheat. during that exam, i finished my paper quite early, but not sure i could get a full mark or not, so turned half around and accidentally looked at my neighbor's test paper, saw nothing, but i felt really ashamed of myself. lol

First of all, just saying hi to all students, teachers, parents and all the other people out there. To your question, I have not yet cheated during the exam. I don't know if I can call it cheating but I was included in it. When I was in the third grade, my seat mate asked a question about a problem in the exam, which we're currently working on and I, being the innocent being I was, taught him by passing him a note which teaches him everything. So please, tell me if this can be called cheating. And yeah, on my sixth grade, I saw one of my classmates cheat during an exam. He went out, as he said, to go to the comfort room. My very eager classmate went out too and followed him. Then, when they were in the comfort room, my classmate saw him pick a piece of paper from his pockets. What an original way of cheating. Sarcasm intended. I am a student presently, and even though I have never cheated, I feel sympathy to those who cheat and had been caught. I can now why they cheat because they have the urge to do that because they want their parents to see them have high grades but they cannot tell that their parents want them to have high grades through hard work, not cheating.

I'm a student and I'm happy to say I never cheated. I can't be proud of my grades if I haven't gotten them all by myself. Thing is, some students don't care about how they get their grades as long as they pass. A committed student will want to get grades on their own skill. But what if your skill lacks and there's no help out there? Students might turn to cheating instead as a 'solution'. I feel cheating should be monitored very well and if someone is caught, give them an F (or a 1/10 depending on where you life.... lowest rate). Cheating should be made as least attractive as possible.

I must admit that I have cheated in my school years, not because I needed to cheat but because it seemed to be the craze then; who could invent the best way to cheat, etc. Personally I find it pointless and boring to cheat. I was never intellectually-challenged and my photographic memory allowed me to get perfect exams. I suppose other people have to cheat. I was a teacher once and I considered it a challenge to get my students to understand the lessons. I would find a thousand ways to get the knowledge from my head into their heads or I would consider myself a failure as a teacher. Learning is such fun.

as u said, u were once a teacher, and i'm a teacher NOW, to tell the truth, some of my students do cheat on exams, for my part, i can't blame them, for i feel it's my failure to impart the knowledge, students cheat partly duo to the inability of teachers, if u(genearally) r a real good teacher, ur students can learn well, and acquire what they've learnt, and they won't cheat, and can pass the exam successfully. it's a matter of teaching style, teaching method, and teacher's teaching attitude.

This will sound quite horrible, but I have cheated numerous times on tests and exams. I'm not crazy enough to say where and when, but I'm going to be honest and say that I have. The reason why it's horrible because I'm a parent, I'm an online student, and I'm also working towards a degree in Education. Life sometimes get rough and cheating may seem like the best way when you're not prepared for a test. Now I feel bad about those times and have taught my daughter that cheating is wrong. I even substitute during the school year and tell my students that it's wrong to get credit for something that you didn't do.

I tried to cheat once during a prostate exam, but that didn't turn out to well. Seriously though, I never cheated on any test or exam. I feel like anyone who does is really a pathetic excuse for a human being. I have plenty of friends who did, and many are very succesful. It just sucks to know that someone who is succesful in life only cheats his/her way to the top. I really believe cheating is for losers. I am not a teacher, just an ordinary guy who tries to make it his own way. Only cowards cheat, oh, and people with absolutely no pride in themselves at all.

Well XoyyoX, I have tried cheating on an exam once back in middle school and I got caught. I got a zero and have never done it since. I am a parent and I totally disagree with cheating. It only hurts you in every way.

I would be lying if I said I never ever cheated on a test. It was not something I did on a regular basis. Typically I think cheating is really wrong and did so even when I was in college, and I certainly would not have wanted to get caught doing it so it was something that I would rarely risk. But there were a couple of instances where I wrote a couple of things on my shoe when I thought I might get something mixed up on a test. But it was only a couple of answers and only a couple of times. I don't condone cheating at all.

this might sound strange but i never cheated on a final or any huge test, it was always the little quizzes, that didnt count as much. i would take a tiny sheet of paper and try and fit just the main words or letters on the paper. just enough for meto be able to figure out the answer. and i would sit it in between my legs as i sat down so that if i looked down at it , the teacher would think i was just looking down at my paper.

I used to be cheated, just two or 3 times. I felt very nervese and upset. If I am a teacher,I would let my students learn more harder everyday, thus during exam, they can solve the problems themselves. If I am a parent, the child try their best to study,I wouldn't blame him,and tell him lying isn't a good thing and can't do it from now on.

yeah man.Everyone alive on thi earth have cheated once or many time in there life.but you can think that at the time people dont try to learn, they think that they can cheat it, and that hat they do to pa the paper.I think cheating for your future never being regarded a bad thing in life but if u think it certainly good then do it, but I prefer it to not to do it becauze it iz really going to detract your ability

No, I am totally against cheating. When I was in school, a lot of people would cheat but I would never take the risk. Just the thought of getting caught cheating was enough to completely deter me from doing it. Plus if you cheat, you are not learning anything. There is no point cheating in a simple maths test because even if you don't do well, you can learn from your mistakes and it's not like it will determine the rest of your life. On the other hand, while final exams may determine your future and that cheating on those may get you better qualifications for jobs and such, getting caught cheating is MUCH worse than simply scoring 50% or something.

Whatever people say, I feel everybody has cheated in some way at some point of his student life. I have too, and though I knew it was wrong, I had. If you ask why ? Because it is the easy way out of a sticky situation. Fear is the root cause of all evil, and this fear of failing or losing out to our peers/competitors leads us to do so. I know hard work pays, but tell me honestly, who likes hard work ? Will you work hard if you had the chance to get away without doing so ? So whatever be the moral issues regarding cheating, this is a very common thing and I think that this is very hard to control as a teacher or as a student, because of the competition among students and the weight of expectations that burden and pressurise the student to do well come what may !!

In high school, yes. I remember spelling out names to my cheatmates during one of our history exams. Haha, I wasn't really a regular cheater but sometimes, you just have to help out, hehe. There were rarely times when I was on the receiving end, though. I would normally be the one my cheatmates would copy from. Not that I was any good. I'm just not the type who covers my paper. So, you see, my paper is open for everyone who wants to take a look.

I never have. When I went to school cheating was so disgraceful it wasn't worth trying because if you got caught it was terrible for you. Recently here in Trinidad some students got caught selling exam papers and are not awaiting trial. Their bail is into the million and half million dollar figures. About 20,000 students had to resit the exams as a result. Cheating in Trinidad is now endemic. Students do it everywhere. Its like a normal thing in order to pass your exam or get your degree. Its unbelievable how far gone this country is.

how would you guys react if I say I did not cheat ever in my studies????? ohwwwwwwwssszzz....of course I experience cheating on my school days. I sometimes cheat at my neighbor especially on enumeration test and the teacher is not that good that he/she only gives the pointers and after will have a test and have'nt discuss.. But I am so proud that I did not cheat on math subject because that's my favorite subject and I am good at that..

I was the one who gave answers to my fellow classmates. LOL. we knew that teachers may mark a big fat zero on our papers and yet, because we were afraid of failing that particular paper.
