Hi There, I hate flossing my teeth. I know it is something that should be done on a regular basis for good dental hygiene...but I hate doing it. Some people say it is supposed to be done once a day...others say after every meal. I do it about once a week. How about you? How often do you floss your teeth? cheers,

I feel the same way, I never really get too into flossing my teeth anymore. I just don't really bother I guess. I use to floss a lot when I had braces. Maybe it was cause I could always feel like there was something stuck in my teeth. But now I don't feel as much so I don't floss as much either. I'd say either once a week and sometimes less than that. I mean I brush my teeth at least 2 times a day and sometimes 3. I figured brushing should cover most of my needs for good dental hygiene. Especially with a splash of mouth wash.

I'm embarrassed to say how infrequently I floss, so I won't disclose. It's rare. I began the bad habit of infrequent flossing as a preteen with braces, and never put up the effort to regain the good habit.

I know...it is certainly an effort to floss. Unlike brushing which is far easier. cheers,

I floss my teeth about three times per week. I always use a toothpick after eating though. I know i should probably floss more but I never force myself to do it more often. I brush my teeth about three times per day though.

I've never been good about flossing, but about a year ago I bought some of those little "floss sticks". I'm not sure what you call them, but they have a little string of floss connected to a plastic thing that's small and very portable. Since buying them, I'm flossing much more regularly... once a day or more. I put them in my purse, near my computer, in the bathroom, some in the bedroom, etc. If I see them, I use them. After putting thousands of dollars into my son's mouth (like about $11,000.00!), I've learned the importance of good oral hygiene, which includes flossing. You only get one set of teeth (well, permanent ones, anyway) and you need to take care of them!
