hi how many of us mylotters ever read in the bathroom?

I was looking for a new topic for discussion and was
struck by a similar discussion on reading habits
'and so I just wondered if I am the only nutcase who
reads in the bathroom while on the throne so to speak.
How many of you are guilty of reading a magazine or
a book you just cannot put down while doing your
'business in your bathroom?

Lol I don't but my Mum used to
My Son used to as well but the thing was he was ages because even though he finished he forgot where he was and carried on reading till we starting shouting because we where bursting lol
He would come out with a big smile on his face and say sorry the Article about cars was very interesting and I forgot I was on the Toilet

Hi gabs my best friends son does that too, and sometimes'she
gets his pals on the phone, and has to tell them he is on the
throne and will come out in a minute..so his pals all know he
'gets into something in a magazine and forgets where he is.lol.

I have to admit I do read in the bathroom, as it is boring if I don't. My son also reads in the bathroom, my daughter however did not pick this up from me.

I read in the bathroom. I have a few magazines in there right now, and I sometimes even have a book in there. My 17 month old daughter even grabs a magazine every time she plops her tiny little booty on the toilet. I guess she learned that from me.

No, I do not read while "doing my business" although I did used too, any excuse to pick a book up back then. Now I just do not have the time to get too comfy!

No! That is really one of my pet hates. And I know I'm probably in the minority because I've read some of your other responses and its a very common habit, but I never do it. I have loads of friends that say they do it, in fact one of my friends has a bookcase in his bathroom! I know I'll probably sound like a nutcase now, but years ago I read an article about bacteria found on library books because people had probably been reading them in the bathroom and I've never used the library since lol! I'm not a clean-freak or anything like that, it's just that particular thing that I'm squeamish about.

hi stiletto oh my g. you do bring up a valid point. there have been a lot of studies done on various things in the bathroom. what
really jolted me was they found people had their toothbrushes in cups sitting on the edge of the sink.They scanned those toothbrushes for bacteria and they were loaded yuck.
e coli on your tooth brushes.yuck. But in libraries you will
find germs on any book regardless as they have been handled'by tons of people each day. so we must expect some bacteria in ou r
lives. they have foundtoo that people who are really fastuduiys
and touch nothing because of germs acually have lower resistance
to colds and flu and such then tehe ordinary person who is clean but does not go overboard. in other words we must have some germs'to build up our resistance and make our immune systems work. I would not quit reading because others have touched a book. we do not
refuse to take money from the bank teller yet its really dirty too.

hi thats okay ajithlal reading in bed has always been my way to relax and then get a great nights sleep too.some p eop;le do not read in the bath room but I bet a lot of us do read in bed

yes i do read while i am in the bathroom. most of the time while i am in the bathrrom i am on my lap top lol

I do read in the bathroom from time to time. When I know I will be in there awhile,I sometimes grab a magazine or a newspaper. Once in awhile I keep those things in the bathroom for another time! There have been times,too,I will grab my cell phone and play games on it when I am doing my business in the bathroom!

wow blue65packer so my discussion is open agin. I still read in the bathroom much to my roomie's disgust. lol I do not have a cell phone yet but am thinking about it. so far I just read whil I do my business too. lol

Guilty? I even thought that people who never read a book in bathroom as deviant one :p (deviant - out of mainstream of people :p).
Other than reading, there also game boy. I bet lots of kids love to play it on bathroom. It can be quite boring while doing that kind of business in bathroom, right :p

hi varoer lo I am still here and still love to read in the bathroom
in spite of being in a retirement center now. never thought this would happen to me but here I am . long story all due to our terrible economy here in California in the USA.my son was ou t of work for t wo years but now back working almost f ull time but not making eno tgh for u s to share a 2 bedroom apt again. so hes in a boarding house and i in this tiresome retirement center.here is too all those mylotters who love to read in the bathroom hip h ip hurrah.

Aunty I also read here a topic of talkative women(surekharathi)regarding study in bathroom when I was read I was laughing loudly but after complete reading I understand in her house no place for reading so she seated in bathroom for study. I heard some people read below the street light also. But I have no such habit because I feel embarrassing and sophisticated.

hi fanta nope I also would feel embarrassed to read under a street light. I do this in our bathroom occasionally but it makes my
roomie upset so mostly read sitting on my bed instead.yep laughing woman made a read amusing discussion about reading in the bathroom . this is my really old discussion nice of someone to dust it off again.I am still here. lol

oh sooie ha ha too I wish I co uld get down in the tub for a bubble b ath but am too stove u p so take showers and its not as relaxing
either.I do love to read inthe bathroom but now I am here in gold crest and have a roommate so no readin in th e reading room sept 23 2012FREALLY SO LATE SORRY.

I only read magazine, whenever if am in the bathroom, you know what, i mean, the all time favorites of all time "playboy". The bathroom is a good place for reading this kind of magazine, come to think of it, what woould others would think of you if someone sees you reading a playboy magazine in crowded or public places? man, such a pervert!!!.. hehehe ;)

I used to do this before I had children, and I found it quite a luxurious, relaxing thing to do!! My mum used to always get so annoyed with me for staying in the bathroom so long because I was reading my book, lol! But now, sadly, my daughter's always wanting me to do things with her and it's just a luxury to be able to go to the toilet
