I haven't heard anything about him leaving the show. I don't think he is. I think it is just a mini-cliffhanger until next week. Maybe he didn't get shot enough to need a full regeneration. David is a wonderful actor and has really made the Doctor his own. Unless, he regenerates into the Doctor played by Chris Eccleston and then gets injured again and re-regenerates into David's Doctor again.

There's a lot of rumours going about, and the overall balance is that he isn't; things might not happen quite like you'd expect. I'd heard spoilers about this some weeks back, from someone who knows someone, and they've been right so far (him getting shot by a Dalek, dragged back into the TARDIS, and so on); I'll not say what I've heard next so as to not spoil folks, but if you wanna know, PM me ;)

Why would you stop watching if Tennant leaves? I'd rather Eccleston hadn't left and didn't like Tennant at first, but I kept watching. Anyway, I had already heard that Tennant was going to be involved in another project and wouldn't be available for Doctor Who for a year. I had thought this meant we'd have to wait two years for more, but it seems they're indicating a new Doctor is taking over. I was personally hoping Eccleston would come back for some "untold tales" or that he'd show up from his life's past to pilot the TARDIS until his current incarnation could take over again.
