Hi all well I have been thinking abotu moving back to Beautiful British Columbia this summer and thought I would ask for some advice. Have you ever made big moves? this will be about a 17hour drive. Would you take everything or leave most? I am hoping to find a job before I go so that I have at least that when I get there. My son is very excited he can't wait to see his friend faith. We haven't seen them in almost 2 years so I will be happy to be going as well. I was so much happier when I lived in BC. So what do you think?

Good luck on your move. I would love to move out of this county that we live in also. We love our home but hate where we live. We would love to move to a warmer place also closer to the ocean. We have never done this before but my husband has. I think it will be fine for you and I sure hope it is for us also.

You should do what makes you both happy. That is one of the main reasons I am doing it. Good luck to you as well

Follow your heart StrawberryKisses..if you love there and your son loves there too, it's a valid reason to move then! I am sure you will be able to find a job also, if I am in the situation, If I got a big truck, I will be saving some things which are more significant for me and sold the rest!

I moved from Winnipeg to Calgary 7 years ago and didn't bring anything with us. There was just my husband and I so it was an easy move and we just left all of our stuff behind since it wasn't worth much anyways. When we arrived in Calgary we had to replace everything but we did it slowly so it wouldn't cost too much at once. After living in Calgary for 5 years my husband got transferred back to Winnipeg, so we moved and left everything behind again. Again it wasn't worth the cost of hiring a moving truck so we just gave everything away. Then when we lived in Winnipeg we lived with my sister-in-law so we didn't replace everything, but we did buy some things, like kitchenware. Now after 1 1/2 years in Winnipeg, I decided to move back to Calgary and again all I came with is two suitcases of clothes, on the plane. I also left behind my husband as we weren't getting along and I was depressed and had to get away. Now I live in Calgary with my 25 year old daughter and we live in a furnished suite so we don't have to go out and buy new furniture, again.
