Want a new friend?

I have just cleaned out my friends list. I got rid of the members that never responded in my discussions, or never started discussions, or ones that had been inactive for awhile. I went from 497 down to 378. A dropage of 119 inactive, nonposting, nonresponding friends. A majority were new members that never did anything to help me out as I did them. But anyhow it was a long overdue change for me. So now I am trying to accquire more friends here. I try to respond to most my friends discussions as long as they interest me. I add comments to a lot of my discussions as well. I am an average poster here splitting my time between starting and responding etc. So if you would like me as a friend here please send a request my way. Thanks in advance all. I wish cleaning out my cupboards was as easy as cleaning out a friend's list! Hahahaa! I don't mind if my friends don't help me out - I'm only here to join in interesting discussions and I'm not interested in making money or anything like that. It's just nice to know the friends are there!

Thanks for the response. yet you did not send a friends request my way? Hmmmm? This is the reason I am here as well, F U N !! I am my fathers caregiver and retired so I sit here all day on and off doing mylotting and yard work, gardening etc.

Humm, I thought we were friends,but I don't see your name on my list. Maybe I'm one of the one's you deleted. Although I did reply on one of your discussions just the other day so I'm not sure. Maybe I forgot to ask to be a friend and just read some of your discussions?

There have been members names deleted oddly at times
by some glitch as well. I don't recall if we were friends. But I don't recall seeing your name when I went through my list. I just sent a request your way since you didn't send one. Thanks also.

We don't reply to eachothers a LOT, but we do sometimes. You are probably ahead of my by a few.

That's a lot of friends Granpa Bob! Even after cleaning out the non-performing onces you still have 378, congratulations. I don't really know how many friends I have. I have been active since April but I feel I might not be able to give as much time and attention to Mylot as I used to before once I begin work on some projects. Hopefully, I won't be too remiss in my Mylot duties. Cheers!!

Well, I have no idea how many friends I have, etc. but I know I clean out some of mine too from time to time, and most of the time it ends up being people who have not posted on here in a long time. I too feel if you want to have some Good friends in here, you need to be a Friend as well. To have a Friend, you need to be a friend, or so it should be. Even here in myLot.

It gives such a warming feeling to see how you have such a loving relatioship with your Dad. I get the feeling if and when you two do have issues the fireworks don't need no match. hehehe.

Hello there. I am already your friend here and I am very glad to be. I try to be as active here as possible. I have been very busy here recntly but trying to stay active with all of my friends. I have several in my friend list also who have become inactive. I hope some fo them come back soon. I think alot of people moved to other things online. I really like it here though.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! I am glad that you didn't delete me and if you do, I will just keep on sending you a friend's request again and again until you give in. haha..I, too will be doing the same for I have a lot in my list who I haven't seen a discussion nor a response from them. Better do some cleaning up on mine too.

Well I am glad to see that I am still on your friends list hun...How ya been doing. I am sorry I am not around much these days but I have been working on a few new site of my own that I have started this past year. I now have 4 forum sites of my own and a new Design site I just started...and having a blast at them. I am glad to see you and your family are doing well and I send lots of love your way my old friend....wow can ya believe it has been over a year or so now since I joined here.XXOO

I have been out of this site for a year and only came back recently. I used to get good responses from my friends then but now i don't see many who come to my discussions. Whatever happen to them i cannot guess. Maybe they have left for good and I have yet to scrutinize my friends list and act as you did.

Okay I sent a request your way just now also. I needed to rid the list of a lot as it was getting to where I knew whom would start and whom would respond so I rid the list of the ones that didn't. I am sure a few of those deleted were banned as well.

WOW, how long did it take you delete them? I'm sure you will get plenty of other friends. This is the only place I know that you're able to have freinds from all around the world. This is such a great place to be.

I would say about 2 hours time going through each friends page or maybe a little less time. Some I knew to delete and did not need to go to their pages. Thanks also.

Anyway, I did that few months ago too. I mean, I also did some cleaning up in my friends' list. There were very many in my list who are no longer active here. I guess we have the right to discard them from our list. Besides, there are new members here who are really very active. They are very hardworking too. They respond to as many discussions they see here including mine. I find that really cool!

Nope I didn't delete you friend. Hahahaha! Good to see you again also. It took a long time going through my list. I have noticed a lot of the new members are actually doing fairly well. Of course there are the ones that join thinking they can become rich by doing 50 one line discussions daily. Hahaha!

online friends are not so strong GRANDPA. especially when you are old, guys do not find exciting with you. that may be the reason why they left you out. sorry to say openly. I would like to be your friend.

Okay then answer me this, how can you come to this conclusion when you know nothing about me at all?
Just curious is all. By the way I have a lot of very strong friendships with people I have met here on myLot as well in chat rooms etc. met quite a few from chat rooms as well. And let me say that an online friendship can be very strong if one allows that friendship to grow.
