Do you have an ice maker in your refrigerator, have ice trays or buy bagged ice? We do not have an ice maker here.Due to having nerve damage and tendonitis in my hands, they will not allow me to empty the ice trays,so we buy bagged ice.Which do you do?

I used to love those rattling steel handles on those "antiques". I may have to hunt some down at garage sales just for a keepsake now. Thanks. (I think)

Oh my! I forgot those old metal ones.My hands will not allow me to empty. For one I cannot get the strength.Even if I could my arm would hurt for days afterwords. If Iam ever fortunate enough to own my own home I want a refrigerator with an ice dispenser in the door with one of those filters to clean the water as it goes into the ice making chamber.

Hubby and I mostly drink water and I keep water bottles in the fridge to keep them cold and Hubby has a jug of water in the fridge all the time so we never have ice cubes in our freezer. We had trays in there that were there 2 years ago when we moved in and we never used them. I finally took them out.

I use ice cube trays, I have 6 of them. I hate to buy something that I can make for free. I understand if you aren't allowed to twist the trays. Is your daughter big enough to do it for you. You could save a few bucks and make ice and bag it, that way you keep stocked up on ice.

The house I live in is my son's house and when he lived here there is a fridge with an ice maker but it has never worked. (He is a fridge repairman) you know the story the cobblers children has no shoes. When He was here they insisted on the trays. Now that e and his wife are gone we buy the ice and keep it in the ice bin. I have to have my grandkids put the ice in the bin because my arthritis won't let me get my arms high enough to do it my self. My hands aren't very strong ether.

Yesy freezer has an ice maker in it. Now is it hooked up? NO! Some day I will get it hooked up. But for now I make my own and add them into the icecube maker tray.

Our fridge has an icemaker, but we never hooked it up to the water line. I feel it is just one more thing that could break, plus the bin for the ice took up too much shelf space. We just have an icecube tray in the door of the freezer.

We make ice cubes using the ice bags that you can fill with water and freeze them. Sometimes we have these plastic things that u fill with water and they produce ice cubes, but they tend to break after some time, when you are trying to have the ice out of it. I like those refrigerators that create the ice cubes and can supply cold water too, it is proving very convenient for parties, or occasions when many people are invited over.

We have an ice-maker. We used to have a fridge with the outside dispenser but when we bought a new fridge, we decided to just have the drawer as it's aesthetically more pleasing in design and easier to clean the front of the fridge. We also have a water filter for it and the water dispenser because we have well water.
