Happy Fourth of July to you too Howard....I might celebrate by just sleeping late and hanging around the place here...supposed to be rainy anyway...I might take the day off from MyLotting and concentrate more on writing in my novels...either that or write up speeches for my candidacy for President...hehee

Well I will be home too, probably catch the fireworks display on tv, I will be on mylot most of the day and night. So tell me Madam President what is the first change you would make in the white house - I am curious.

Sound great - you have my vote. I am sorry for wording it the way I did, what I really meant was what change would you make in the actual white house itself - like decor, adding a feline wing, maybe tone it down a bit from it's museum atmosphere to a more warm and homey feel. The reason I ask is because I can tell you could redecorate the "house" into a "home".

My goodness the list would be legion as to all the reforms necessary. First, vamp up the FDA with qualified people and make inspections of our food on a regular basis, and that might mean total reform on the processing plants themselves to eliminate any possible contamination of our foods. I would initiate huge fines and possible imprisonment for any meat slaugherhouse and packaging plants that continue to use downed animals in our food supply. I would demand a total revision in design of car engines that could run on something as basic and simple as water, but in the meantime tap into all the resources of land that are on reserve that were designated for oil/gas and aren't being used and get the supplies from them instead of a cockamamy idea of drilling for oil offshore. I would initiate a total reform of our health care system to make everyone eligible for health care and not just a select few.....I would get our troops out of the war.. .uh, my I do have a large list..and I'm not even finished...Mmmm...maybe being president wouldn't be such a keen idea....LOL THERE'S JUST TOO MANY THINGS TO DO!!

Well my friend, actually it is now July 5th, but I would like to wish you a late Happy 4th as well, and hope your day was a Good one. I had to work and then spent the evening at home with my husband.

Sorry Im a day late howard. I hope you had a nice July 4th. I spent the day over the new place then came home and we grilled some hamburgers and had corn on the cob which was so good. Some macroni salad and baked beans. Then we roasted marshamallows.

Hello Howard and a happy 4th to you also. You doing anything exciting today or tonight?
Our step granddaughter is playing softball this morniing so we are going to both her games if it doesn't rain. This afternoon my husband and I are going to one of the local casinos for lunch. Tonight we will be going somewhere to see a firework display.

Well thank you, a very happy and save 4th for you and yours.
I was not born an American citizen but I didn't have to work nor study the tests to become one. That was because I was only 2 when I came to the US, but don't think for one moment that I remember what the 4th of July means to my adopted country.
