Shucky darns dang it all. I missed two. I shouldn't have missed them, but as I did guess on at least 2 others, it evens out to be fair.

I only missed two myself. I did some educated guessing, but mostly I knew the answer. Some of the answers were from watching School House Rock with my kids.

Crud...back to school for me! If I wasn't born here i wouldn't have been allowed in. I got a 60%...but in my defense as soon as I saw the correct answers I had a
moment because I knew, I knew that!

I missed four, which gives me an 80%, which would just squeak me by with the INS. I missed the number of admendments, # of members of the House, # of years a senator serves, chief Justice (though I originally picked the right one, but then second-guessed myself to a wrong answer).
It's very true that people who go through the naturalization process end up knowing more about how the government works than the average adult american. We all probably learned it at some time in school, but forgot it later on.

I have no doubt that many of us would not pass it. We take things for granted here and once we get through school and don't have to study this any more we forget. We all need to take a "refresher" course just so we can show we do know this.

I will go over and see what happens when I try. History was not good for me either, but I have worked in schools and so may know more now than when I was young.

I do not see what is different in the 2008 test from the one I took and passed in 2000.

well i missed 10 out of 20 so I was a lot worse than you. I took a test for US citiizenship way back. I answered only 3 oral questions and passed. They were easy questions. I enjoy taking quizes like that.

I probably couldn't but I believe they get to do a practice test and told the type of things to study, and of course if it american I definitely wouldn't know, it would have to be canadian,

I must admit that I did not know who is the Chief Justice, how long Senators are elected for, and I misread Constitution and substituted Declaration of Independence, and I did not know how many Amendments there are. I guess I can still be a citizen of this great country, though. I'm sure glad that I was born here.
