i wouldn't confide in my online friends, don't think they'd be interested. don't know any of them well enough to think they would. don't have any secrets anyway, really.

I do not have any offline friends. I cannot trust anyone other than my husband. I do have some online friends but we all do not know each other that well to know if we can trust each other. I would trust my online friends more than people in my real life though because they have the same interests as I do and alot of them understand where I am coming from because they are in the same situation.

Well you know dfollin I think I am a good friend to my friends..They can tell me anything ,no matter how bad and it is safe with me,but i have had friends that are not as good a friend to me than i am to them...I had a dear friend and when she would get angry about something she would talk about all the things we shared, and i felt betrayed by that..If i have a friend and they tell me something, say in secret,i would NEVER tell their secrets even if they were no longer my friend, ithink that is wrong...My friend had a car that she was parking on my property, and after a year my husband ask her to please move it,she got mad at me because he told her that, and she began talking about me...It made me feel bad...Since then i am very careful about what i say...So i guess my online friends is the ones i tell my deepest thoughts too...It seems safer...

You sound like a great friend. You have the right attitude. That is really petty and childish want your friend with the car did! I have friends and relatives that have done me wrong. My online friends seem safer too.

I trust my off line friends more, as the people I have met online really weren't friends, they were "acquaintances". I have been online now for 5 years, and have chatted with people from all over the world, but, all in all for me anyway, you cannot get the closeness, or that hug that you need typing words into a computer and waiting for a response.

I seems that if I have a problem and I want to talk to someone my online friends seem to have time for me.And for instance if Iam having a problem with Sally (hypothetical name) and I ask Jane (another hypothtical name) her opinion on what I should do about the situation. Then Sally goes and tells Jane I said something totally different. But,online friends don't know Jane so they won't go run their mouths.

Offline friends will do.:) coz atleast i could get to meet them personally..I could know anything bout them wether they .kept my secrets or what..But i never used to tell my dearest secrt just to anybody..I am wiser than they think.i am good at choosing the BEST people whom im gonna share it with..For me that would only be my BEstfriend..Coz we've known each other for a long time already..

I was always told that a secret isnt a secret anymore once you tell someone. I'm not saying that I dont ever trust my friends with info..but I will only say something that I dont mind others hearing because I have learned that people talk too much, even unintentionally.
