Are there any Linda Goodman fans out there? What books have you read?

Hi astrology people, I became a big fan of Linda Goodman after I left university. Somebody gave me a copy of her "Star Signs" and that was that - I was hooked! I want to hear from other fans out there! Which books have you read? What do you like or dislike about her style? With Thanks

Hi there! I loved Linda Goodman, I read Sun Signs (which isn't really for reading, more for reference) and also Star Signs. I LOVED the "Money Mystique", but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me!!! As for her style, it is very gentle and lyrical. At times she moves too far into poetic style (for my tastes), but at the same time, she backs up her claims with examples. I think it makes it a pretty interesting read!

Hey Soooooooooooobored! At last! My faith in MyLot.com is restored. :-) Actually I was surprised it took so long to get a reply, as in Astrology circles, Linda Goodman's books are probably the biggest sellers on the planet and she has been successful since the late 1960s. I was first of all impressed by the section on Numerology in Star Signs, because I'd finished a seminar at uni on "number symbolism and apocalyptic themes" (don't be put off by the heavy title :-) ) and then a psychology student gave me the book. Later I found an old 1960s copy of Sun Signs in a second-hand book shop and I found all the examples really funny, so every time I met some new girl in my life, I'd have the book out and I'd be preparing myself. Really great fun! As you said it's for Reference. The third and last book was Love Signs which I bought new through Amazon. It's like Sun Signs in style, but as you would guess it related more to combinations of signs. What about you? I see you score highly here in the Astrology? Are you into this stuff or is it just fun? Speak soon UMart, from Ireland , in Germany

I forgot, I did have Love Signs... there's one I actually prefer, that breaks up the sun signs into "Week 1" - "Week 3" I believe? My psychic has it out in her living room, those are frighteningly accurate!! I believe in astrology from "reputable sources". I am a scientist at heart, so its hard for me to accept things that I can't qualify or quantify, but I have to say, there is a lot of accuracy in some of these practices! Numerology has always been a subject I've had a hard time swallowing, what would be something to read that makes a convincing argument? I had a hard time with it actually because of Linda Goodman! I thought the idea that you could change your numerological profile by changing the spelling of your name was kind of lame...

Hi, interesting that you said you were a scientist. I am a trained accountant and quite mathematically minded, but I find that Londa Goodman's observations on the characters of the various star signs to be uncanny and I must admit that I've had a lot of fun playing with my insight into peoples' hidden characters. As for the numerology - I have a strange relationship with numbers like 4 and 8 and 13. I don't know why, but it is so, particularly with ex-girlfriends. It does seem far fetched to change your name, but you can move house ;-) Have a good week. Umart
