Do you Drive safely or carefully?

I have seen many reckless drivers on the road. I am scared to drive specially in the interstate because most drivers in that area are not careful. They keep on changing lanes without signal, totally not communicating with other drivers on the road. There are some who will continue on driving even if they were caught by the stop signal. Crazy drivers. More often I've seen people driving with cellphones on the other hand. Maybe they don't realize that being on the road is not a joke. In an instant things will change if you are not careful.
what about you? do you have any techniques on how to drive safely and carefully on the road with other crazy drivers?
Just curious to hear from others.

I drive as safely and carefully as the traffic will ALLOW! I do know the rules and basically follow them, but whenever my father said to me, "Drive SAFELY!" as I would leave their house, I would reply, "I can vouch for MYSELF, but I cannot promise for the OTHERS!"
I've recently taken a Safe Driving course online and passed it with a score of 97%.. and qualified for Safe Driving discount from my insurance company.
So... I know what you mean. I always say that you KNOW there's a God because there are not MORE accidents than there ARE!

wow!! safe Driving course online? How did you do that? How much is the pay? I am curious about it and very interesting to know how to do it too. I might enroll, lol.. if I can afford it.

I'm a very safe driver. I always go within the speed limit and use my blinkers to give the other drivers a signal. I tend to drive slowly as well so I can adjust to other drivers on the road. I find that if I drive too fast, it's harder to react to guys who are about to hit me! My responsible driving has led me to feel so much frustration over drivers who are reckless. I especially don't like those who drive like a mad man as if burning oil is like drinking water! And I don't like it when cars change lanes or swerve without signaling first.

I think we all drive a little crazy at times depending on our state of mind. I think that hands free cell phone laws should be continued to be enforced as they are now.
I think however that if you are a defensive driver you will be ok for the most part.
I always say a prayer before I drive anywhere just to be on the safer side.
