how do you open your can?

i use a church key can opener.i got tired of the electric ones breaking all the time.sometimes the older stuff is better.

We have can opener,i use it more often.But i can make use also of the knife....that's what we use to open cans back home.I saw one way of opening can,with the use of spoon.Actually it was a picnic and nobody brought opener or knife,one of my friends opened the can with the use of spoon...clever but haven't tried it yet.

We have an automatic can opener but I know hoe to open one too with a knife. The automatic can opener is a real hassle that's why I still prefer using a manual can opener.

I have this horrible can opener but it is better than nothing. I want a new one but mine still works a bit. Maybe I will put one on my Christmas list for this year and I can get a new one with out feeling guilty about it.

I like the cans u just pull the top lid off with a handle!. I know how to open the cans u put the key on a tab and wind it around the metal. Usually i use a can opener to open my cans though. If i didnt have a can opener i would be s.o.l.

Hi, rhane7315. When I was growing up we normally used a manual black can opener. But, I have used an electric can opener when my husband bought one too. I remember first seeing my aunt with an electric can opener at her home. That was when I knew that it was other ways of getting a can to open. I thought that an electrical can opener was very expensive. I have used a knife to open up my cans too. I don't like using one, because, I sometimes would have this fear of the can lid flopping back at me, cutting my skin. So, I try not to use this method.

Hello Rhane! We use can opener to open canned goods lolz... well... that is for the girls, my brother and boyfriend, when too lazy to look for the can opener opted to use a knife in opening canned goods lolz... Happy Mylotting!

Hi , I have always used a can opener and most time i can never get it to open . Then , i will have to take a fork or something and pry it open some way . I dont know what it is with me and can opener but we dont mix most time i get the ones with the lift up lid , so much easier .

These days I use an electric can opener. My hands wouldn't let me use any other kind. I can even work the old turning ones. When I was growing up my grandmother had one of those really old fashioned ones that you pound into the can then work up and down. The can lid would come out pretty jagged.

I use a can opener. It is the kind that cuts all around the outside of the can, so you won't cut yourself when removing the lid. I have never used an electric can opener. If I don't have a can opener, I wouldn't attemp to open the can....especially with a knife. I'd end up cutting myself.

Yeah, I smash the can over my forehead just like I do with pop cans. (I learned this from watching Animal House.) Seriously though, I just use a can opener. It's much safer.

I use can opener sometimes. But I'm more comfortable in using a knife. Though it is really dangerous, it is much easier than using a defective can opener. You just have to be careful when using a knife. I saw one time, my neighbor, during a drinking spree, used the end of a spoon. That I'll have to try. LOL.

even my wife knows how to open can goods using a knife. it is really dangerous task especially for her. but we have to do it and we have no other resort. i always buy can opener before, but they always became useless in just few days. i even bought a more expensive opener and it lasted just 2 months...
