going bananas! / myLot

I have some bananas that are getting old and so I need to make something good with them before they go to waste... any ideas? what is your favorite banana dish?

you could make smoothies or a walnut and banana loaf or just put them in a sandwich with peanut butter

Whenever I have bananas that are getting old I will make some banana bread out of them. I have also thrown them in the freezer to make banana bread with at a later time or to toss in a shake later.

I do the same thing. I buy the cheaper overripe bananas at the store and freeze 90% of them right away so they don't go bad before I can get to them. I love to use them in banana bread, in cereal, and smoothies.

I love making banana bread with the old bananas. I love it fresh out of the oven. Or banana muffins. Those are good too. Of course, I usually don't get a lot of it when my father steals it all.

I love to too. And fresh out of the oven YUMMY. In fact I have to make at least two loaves in my house just to be sure everyone gets some. (when the 2 kids are here anyway)

I always make bananas and custard for my kids and they love it so does my mum, i cant stand it persoanlly lol, I just make some fresh vanilla custard and pour it over chopped bananas and leave it to cool they adore it. I also make banana loaf too that is my fave lol

i think that my fiance would like the custard idea the best... i'm not a really big fan of it either though... ha ha

i think the best way to use over ripe bananas is to make banana nut bread. it is really one of my favorite things.if your recipe makes 2 loaves u can always freeze one to have later.

If they are going off then muffins or banana cake would be the best.

i use our bananas to make banana muffins. you can pretty much use them even if they are really soft because you smash them up anyways for in the muffins. they make really good moist muffins. its easy to do too.
