Are you following the change oil standards for your car? I was checking my car oil appearance every morning and if it is still fine I did not the oil. I think I already have six months without changing the oil of my car. How about you, when did you change your car oil?

Until last Thursday, I had a 1.8litre turbo charged car, and because of the turbo, the oil had to be changed every 5000 kilometres or six months, whichever came first. It was a real hassle. Now I've traded to different car, and the service book says oil change every 10 to 15,000 ks, which I'm a lot happier about.

O that is great. I have 2.0L Mitsubishi Galant and still working great. Well I think I was still safe since I was traveling only 24 kms a day.

Yep, I think you should be safe. I now have a 2.4 litre Mitsubishi Lancer(the other was the GSR Lancer), and if it keeps me happy as long as my last car did, I'll have no complaints!

We change our oil about once every three months or so. My husband changes ours for us. He really doesn't write down a schedule but we know that once we put so many miles on the car or after about three months have passed, then it is time to change it again. I think we are due again to change ours which should have been done in June actually.

We don't do that as often as we should. Just recently, we bought a used Saturn car. The car is in really good shape considering that it's over ten years old. At this point, we need to be taking better care of it or it'll mess up like our last car!

i think 6 months for cars is still safe to have the engine oil changed. do not extend 6 months before changing. in my case, i change my motorcyle engine oil every 5,000 kilometers...
